just feelin frustrated that I turned down Favre for Santana Moss in week 2

Farve may not be in for a top 5 season, or maybe he is, but it would be a big upgrade over what I have now. . .

Figured I would check some of the other blunders. . .

oh. . .and I took SA last year at #2 :goodposting:

oh, I also just traded Jordan for SJax. . . .hopefully I end up on the bright side of that one!

hmmmm. . . .this is not a "how did I do post". . . .btw. . . . .I know you were just thinking that!

I was offered T. Brady last season straight up for E. Manning- I was looking for a little something to sweeten the deal and it never got finsihed.

3 keeper league so far.

Kept Jacobs not Ronnie Brown

Kept Lee Evans not Driver ( distance league)

Drafted V. Davis over Witten

bonas.

Did not start C-pep and Crayton last week.

There may be more.

convulted as to the question: Bottome line, wish I kept Brown,Driver and passed on Witten.

Before week 3, I turned down a trade where I would get Randy Moss and T Jones for Edge, Coles, and MJD. It is a salary cap league where Moss is $150,000 of a $1,000,000 salary cap. MDJ is $40,000. Jones, Edge, and Coles would not be salary cap considerations (contracts expire this year). My reasoning was, it's only 2 weeks-MJD will come around and Moss will probably come back to earth, and a stud RB is more valuable than a stud WR, especially for MJD's price. I've been kicking myself since then (although the trade wouldn't have made a difference in either of the games since).

When cincy chose not to play run defense vs. the Browns and J-Lew ran for 200+ yards, I was offered ronnie brown and Djax for him.. Turned it down..

I could of gotten Bush for Jordan but couldnt pull the trigger cause of bye weeks and then Jordan gets hurt and now the owner wont do the deal.(Dynasty)

my idiot move of the year - after draft and before week one - a guy pitches me moss for brandon jacobs....moss was dinged in pre-season - I didn't want the injury risk - lol......

damn! 2 for Moss. . . .burner this year!

if its any comfort, I think 75% of us avoided moss this year. . . .i know I'm kicking myself. . .but it wasnt a trade.

wonder who is still out there that will burn us?

(side note. . .not sure if anyone else is watching "Americas Game" right now on NFL, but its the 72 fins. . . .good episode. . .Mercury Morris. . . interesting guy)

couple years ago i had the option of getting Mushin Muhammad for Joe Horn after Smith went down. I thought Mushin was a fluke and held onto Horn. Horn gets hurt and Mushin is #1 fantasy receiver. =(

I turned down Braylon Edward's for Ronnie Brown last week. I need help at WR and am stacked at RB. Owner won't do the trade now.

Brown is good, but I can only play 3 RB's each week and I have five good ones. see signature below.

My league scores through the Superbowl so playoff bound players are most valuable. So, I would only want to trade Brown or Portis as I don't think the Dolphins or Skins make the playoffs. Which one would you try and move and what type of WR would you want in return to make it a fair trade ?

Opposite of this thread, but still a complete bonehead move by me...

Dynasty league I offered Tony Romo and Kevin Jones for LJ after week 1. Owner balked until Sunday and I withdrew the offer. Total forward fumble. :hot:

Not picking up D-Bowe on the sunday after his week 3 game on sunday when deciding on him or Barrett Ruud for Tatupu.

LB is much less of a need for me and it looks to me like Bowe will end up a Top 25 WR for sure almost

12 Team redraft- Before week 3 game I was offered R.Brown/RB/Miami straight up for D.McCallister/RB/NO. I was sooooo close to pulling the trigger but after reading all the info I could get on the FBG Forum from Dolphin homers,90% of the feedback was negative and the Chatman bandwagon was just starting to get a bit overcrowded. This info weighed heavily on my decision. Thanks! Fin insiders for a 90% completely wrong assessment of Browns prospects for 2007.

There's still 13 more weeks left for Brown to yet hit the fantasy skids, but the "Oh what could have been" in weeks 3 and 4 has left the station.

Here's hoping this is not one of those dreaded regretful memories that tend to linger all season and jump up to bite you come playoff time.

Wow. Brown played poorly the first 2 weeks, but Deuce wasn't much better. And with Deuce sharing touches with Bush, the trade should have been a no-brainer for you.

Maybe next time your own opinions should weigh heavily into your decision. You might still make a mistake...but at least it will be your mistake.

Not that much of a no brainer, my reasoning was that I felt Deuce and the Saints offense would pick it up and get back to similar numbers from last year, when he also platooned with Bush. Brown was no definate that he would not be sharing a good portion of the workload with Chatman and like I said in my post, all the info I could get concerning Brown from Miami homers was almost all negative. Cut a guy a little slack. :bs:

In response to NEIL BEAUFORT, I would surely agree with you to an extent, that in the final analaysis our decisions should be our own but I would also submit to you that any intellegent decision is weighed by all the information that we can get from as many sources as possible, especially when we are not familiar with the subject.

The FOOTBALLGUYS fantasy site and this forum are important sources that help and sometimes influence us in making decisions concerning our fantasy teams otherwise if was just a case of winging it from our own intellect and gut feelings we would not be taking the time to be a part of this wonderful informational web site we know as FOOTBALLGUYS.

Yes,the final decision was mine and I would still make the same choice not knowing that Deuce was going down for the season that weekend.Hindsight is always 20/20 but what I would really like to have is a weeks worth of forsight, starting every Monday morning.

Our waivers get processed on Wednesday and I had the first pick. I needed a RB to replace Cadillac.

I put in for Brandon Jackson on Tuesday and then changed it to Selvin Young. Later on I changed it back to Jackson because I thought he'd have a better chance starting then Young. Who knew? :pickle:

In a medium difficulty 10-team league:

After week 1, I offered L. Jordan, B. Edwards and J. Witten to three different teams. I was looking for a stud WR. I targeted M. Harrisson, R. Wayne and S. Smith. All three teams did not accept the trade.

I had LT, APete, TO, J. Walker and Gates. So I was willing to trade depth for a stud.

Whenever these threads come up, there are 4 moves I remember

1. Dropping Larry Johnson for Dorsey Levens in early 2004

2. Dropping Antonio Gates for Boo Williams in 2003

3. Dropping Tom Brady for Charlie Batch in 2001

4. Dropping Willie Parker for Isaiah Kacyvenski in 2004

These 4 moves probably cost me 4 championships, 2 different leagues.

I was offered Ronnie and Terry Glenn that week for J-Lew and Selvin Young (Travis Henry owner) and I turned it down too...

I pulled off a similar trade. Just after the BYE and it was looking like Johnson was going to be carrying Priest's luggage all year. Good times.

We'll see how this plays out the rest of the season but two weeks ago I turned down LDT and Brees (his) for Brady and McGahee (mine). I think this is the year Brady goes after Manning's TD record. Plus I don't have a backup QB on my roster, I'll just go WW on Brady's bye.

Not to sidetrack the thread, I don't regret it but who knows how it will turn out?

I could have picked up Sammy Morris Week 2 but took Musa Smith because I have McGahee and was worired about injury and someone else was trying to pick up Musa.

Unfortunately every decision I've made so far has been like this one. Toughest season in 17 years!

Money/Redraft League

I passed on R. Brown and selected a Ford Yugo........oh, I mena Caddy. :lmao:
