Te - Hunter Henry

Eli.

I'm not all that bullish on his late-career arc, but I am on the additions of Barkley, Will Hernandez out front, and Odell Beckham...together with a second year out of a real TE talent and no replacement competition added.  Looks like a late-round buy to me.

Agreed on trubisky.  He went from having no wrs to having an embarrassment of riches

Christian mccaffery.  Car didn’t draft any of the big RBS.

Case keenum. No qb drafted.

Alex Collins - no top RBS drafted by Balt. And if Lamar Jackson becomes the starter it could really open up the field for collins.

Marlon Mack, Ajayi, Miller/Foreman (three 3rd round picks I thought they might grab a RB)

Hurns, Goodwin/Garcon, Allison

Fantasy owners with mid-1st round picks.

Basically every stud RB. This class was so deep at RB that there was a legitimate worry that one of the intriguing talents might wind up a luxury pick in a spot that already had a great starter, just due to BPA. That didn't really happen unless you're the biggest Hyde fan on the planet and consider him a stud for some reason. Everyone escaped unscathed.

Only guys left who could really change this imo, if they end up being really good, are Kelly or if they're drafted onto a team with a RB who relies on receptions for his points, Ballage and Hines.

Trubisky, Eli, Matt Ryan, Keenum, Newton, Bortles

Chubb, Guice, Drake, Collins, Ronald Jones

Ridley, Robby Anderson, Kirk

Gesicki

Don’t rule out a C.J. Anderson signing in Miami (which signed him to an offer sheet a few years ago) or Indy, which could change things.

Or Indy. I also think someone like kelly or ballage could make some noise in the right situation. Even a guy like Justin Jackson could supplant Mack. Seems Indy needs to address the rb situation at some point.

Other winners:

Uncle Rico gathers

Lynch

lamar Miller/donta foreman

Michael roberts

David Johnson (outlook for future of offense not so bleak)

Colts not addressing either RB or WR so far in the draft makes me think they might snag DeMarco or CJA post draft....would be interesting spot for Dez on a 1 year deal as well

Does anyone really think Mack will be starting week 1? Seems inevitable that Demarco Murray or CJA will land there.

ETA: Looks like BSS had the same thought at the same time.

of course they could draft John Kelly...Josh Adams or Ballage as well

Hah, yeah, I wouldn't rule out a day 3 guy starting for them. Deep class. But if they drafted a day 3 guy, I could see Mack getting the veteran nod for a few weeks. If Murray or CJA is brought it, Mack will be an afterthought.

Case Keenum is a guy I want for fantasy this year and dynasty. He was 11-3 last year, completed 67% of his passes, 3500 yards, 3:1 TD:Int ratio. There is a lot of potential in that Denver offense: Demaryius, Sanders, K. Henderson, Sutton, Butt, Freeman, Booker, D. Henderson and a 1st round pick at LT.

Quite an atypical draft - almost no losers amongst the rookies.  TE's got crushed, but otherwise almost nobody looks disappointing.  I'm even warming a bit to Michel in NEP but his ceiling is going to be limited based on their philosophy.  He's the most talented guy they've had there in eons, so maybe they'll commit to him more.  The problem with NEP RB's has never been their potential, it's been the donuts they can toss up with no notice at all.

Sutton might have taken the "most" loss of value.  There's a lot of veteran talent in front of him and not an inkling of a rebuild in DEN, so he's not going to be gifted a single snap.  Being a 2nd rounder also signals a bit of a talent concern.  Neither guy in front of him has really seen a physical decline yet so it might take a cap need for them to make a hole for Sutton.

James Washington mucks things all up too.  Just when it looked like JuJu was going to get a free path to 100+ targets they spend an early-ish pick to replace Bryant - using the exact pick they got for him.  And good luck to the rookie to break into that receiving corp.  Plus Bell that's not going to cede any work, and TE's that shouldn't be ignored.  What do we know about the new OC?  Is he a guy likely to call 700 pass plays?  Because if not this is a logjam.  AB's going to decline eventually, sure, but who's going to spend a solid pick on Washington to start watching THAT clock?  Hint:  not me.

So true but I look at what Dion Lewis was doing once he came back last year and I think Michel will get a chance to fill that role. From week 6 on, Lewis averaged 17 touches a game. In today's NFL, what more can you ask for?

For deeper leagues... Vance McDonald.  Washington May take a few targets but as a War he’s playing a different role.

And Clive Walford.  Jets pick up QB of the future and no TEs... yet.

Martavis Bryant

Anthony Miller

D'onte Foreman (although I expect the Texans to take a RB still, good sign it wasn't in the first 3 rounds though)

Right, but how many times have we chased this dream through the years?  Add in that he might be one fumble away from playing next in 2019 for a new coach and I think others will be willing to roll those dice before I do.  Definitely have 3 guys over him, and Ronald Jones has a chance to creep up there too.  So 1.04, 1.05 sure he's in play there.  But he had a chance to be a lock top 3 and push for 1.02 if he swaps picks with Jones or Penny.

And he did have a fumble problem in college. I agree that he landed in a more crowded spot than some of the guys, but he did land on a very high scoring offense so it mitigates some of the worry over workload.

Agreed, his talent doesn't scare me and the offense is a plus, but that team has a penchant for completely ignoring a guy when it seems most obvious he's the one for the defense to focus on.  A team spends all week preparing for Michel and they get 14 passes to some random WR4 instead, with Jeremy Hill getting 14 carries and Burkhead 39 snaps, mostly lined up in the slot as a formation setter.  In week 14.  I don't really want to sign up for that.

I had 1.02 in a devy league, and Michel and Penny were the easy 1/2 - I ended up with Penny, and am happy about that. I'm sure Michel will have some great weeks, but I've been burned by a BB benching way too many times.

Saw this on some site today - forget which one:

"In 2019, Denver has just $5.4 in available cap space. Thomas’ contract calls for him to be paid $17 million in 2019. Or…the Broncos can cut him and save $15 million. Denver can save an additional $10 million by cutting Emmanuel Sanders after 2018 as well. What do you think they’ll do?"

Well that's is why I brought it up, and why I said might, but that's at least a full year away.  I was fully aware of those numbers (DT's aren't entirely correct, but close).  But this is also a win-now team that's not currently over the cap, doesn't have glaring needs (at the moment), just got a stud pass-rusher, and could still get more cap help if it goes up next year.  Both of those WR could re-structure or re-work the contracts to provide relief as ell.  If Keenum is legit and they are both playing well it's highly reasonable to think they could both stick.  Personally I think Sanders should have been replaced long ago but once he signed that extension he was locked in until next year at the earliest.

So you are saying denver doesn't have any glaring needs and is "a win-now team"? I wonder why they were drafting in the top 5 picks.

I'd be curious to hear your reasoning.  I own Martavis in a couple leagues and wasn't thrilled with the move.  So I hope you are right! :)

He's an instant upgrade on everyone not named Cooper.  Jordy isn't much of a hurdle in my mind.  If they stay true to what Gruden says in making Cooper the focal point, Martavis is being singled and he showed big play ability a lot.  Carr likes to chuck the ball around, they don't have much of a run game, seems like an improvement to play #2 in Oakland rather than #4 option in Pittsburgh.

Obviously he comes with concerns of if he can even stay in the league, but talent wise, there's not much to dislike.  The instant I heard it happen, I jumped for joy as an owner of him.
