Identical Cousins

We’re pretty fired up for Kirk Cousins this week, and I think he is too.

Cousins isn’t exactly a high upside guy, but he has been very cautious with the ball the last few weeks—almost to a fault since he doesn’t throw downfield much and checks down a lot. He’s still putting up some decent fantasy points—enough to be happy with him when you can load up the other positions.

Ignore the Drops

Mike Evans made it on three lineups despite a lot of drops over the last few weeks. His price is solid and what’s more, he gets a ton of targets. He’s a great receiver and we believe he will right the ship this week against Dallas. And don’t look now but Jameis Winston has become a solid quarterback.

Glaring Omissions

As always, the top quarterbacks are absent from the lineups, and the big time receivers you know and love—Dez Bryant, AJ Green, Larry Fitzgerald—have been replaced by value plays. Although there is plenty of Alshon Jeffery (hampered by a groin issue) and some Odell Beckham Jr in lineups.

Diamonds in the Rough

With Steve Smith out, I jumped on Kamar Aiken ($5100). It’s a great matchup against Jacksonville and while he has been a bit inconsistent overall, he caught all six of his targets last week. I believe he will continue to be a growing part of this offense the rest of the year.

Chad Parsons likes Dorial Green-Beckham, who Marcus Mariota looked for a lot last weekend, throwing at him 10 times for five catches and 77 yards. At $2200, he’s a great value flex.

Crockett Gilmore is in two lineups and if he scores another touchdown, he should be able to reach value at his $2400 price. Like Aiken, Steve Smith’s absence could spell good things for this player.
