LaMont Jordan-RB- Raiders Sep. 20 - 9:59 pm et

Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said Thursday that the availability of LaMont Jordan (back) may not be known until just before game time Sunday.

The Sacramento Bee believes this could be gamesmanship on Kiffin's part, but it appears Jordan will be listed as questionable Friday. Kiffin said Jordan's back is bothering him, so it's a situation that should be tracked on game day. If he sits, Justin Fargas will start and Adimchinobe Echemandu will be active. The Raiders don't play Cleveland until 4:05 ET on Sunday.

If Jordan sits the question becomes will any single RB (let's not forget about Griffith) get enough touches to be viable against a bad defense this week?

As long as I've got the floor let me suggest that in deeper leagues Sammy Morris and Kenton Keith could be sneaky plays to get more touches than normal in blowout wins.

Jordan will be fine, don't let the designation fool you.

If he's hit by a bus or something, I'd lean towards Echemandu as the play; he was originally drafted and then released by the Browns (plus he just plays harder than Fargas).

I don't own Jordan in any of my leagues ... just never fell to me. I am in a few leagues deep enough to maybe snatch Fargas or Echemandu but not both. In that same league I hit the gold mine with a pickup of Ward before Week 1's games and would have had the 14th WW pick otherwise. Since Jordan hasn't had a long history of health I'm tempted to roll the dice again with my bottom of the bench. In deeper leagues if you can land even 1-2 weeks of a starting RB your chances go up immensely. This is the Cleveland defense we're talking about.
