This seems to be the opinion in the Oakland Tribune as well. Back week 6 vs. New Orleans. Does anyone really think Fargas will fall to number 3 on the depth chart with only 2 games to be played until week 6?More guessing:
“Playing this week isn’t likely, but I’m not going to put a time or date on it,” Fargas said. “I’ll be back as soon as possible.”
The guess here, and it’s only a guess, is Fargas misses the Buffalo and San Diego games, then uses the bye week to rest up before being ready to go again.

I remember when Fred Taylor had a groin injury maybe six years ago. I picked him up and thought---great, I will be able to start Fred in three or four weeks. Guess what? He never played again that season! Each week it was the same: he is making progress; he hopes to play; he is close to being ready; blah blah blah. Now, Fred's groin injury was serious as it turned out--he actually tore the groin muscle away from the bone. Ouch! We don't know how bad Fargas is. But the fact that they didn't reveal the results of the MRI and were not more definitive about the degree of the sprain/tear is concerning. This seems to be the opinion in the Oakland Tribune as well. repostYou can put a fork in Fargas.
(I own him in the FBG Ultimate Survivor :sigh
Even if Fargas doesn't lose his spot Bush certainly has a chance to earn more carries now and McFadden has clearly shown he's ready to play as long as hes healthy. Lets face it, Fargas could easily be considered the least talented back on the roster. This seems to be the opinion in the Oakland Tribune as well. Back week 6 vs. New Orleans. I don't, but then again, I don't think Bush is that good. I think he'll show his lack of ability in the next two games and Fargas will slide back into his spot in week 6. Of course, I may be wrong so I picked up Bush on waivers, LOL.This seems to be the opinion in the Oakland Tribune as well. Back week 6 vs. New Orleans. I agree, but I own Fargas so I may be biased. Though money doesn't always drive depth chart decisions I feel this could come into play too: "Running back Justin Fargas, who cashed in with a $6 million signing bonus and a $12 million contract after breaking 1,000 yards last year"I don't, but then again, I don't think Bush is that good. I just grabbed Bush (love saying that) off the wire, but that statement is a little sketchy. By which I mean Fargas knows the offense better than either rookie, so you have to consider what's being judged: talent or value to the particular team. Not disputing it; I'm just saying... (after all, I'd love Bush to become RB2 permanently).Even if Fargas doesn't lose his spot Bush certainly has a chance to earn more carries now and McFadden has clearly shown he's ready to play as long as hes healthy. I don't know about that. Fargas runs pretty hard and has been good enough to get a new contract.Even if Fargas doesn't lose his spot Bush certainly has a chance to earn more carries now and McFadden has clearly shown he's ready to play as long as hes healthy. I'm quite certain that Fargas is more talented than Bush, and McFadden is a younger version of Fargas. Full speed ahead, less than average vision or lateral movement. Big collisions when hitting the hole. McFadden may be faster than Fargas (we'll see how many more times he is caught from behind) and have a better stiff arm, but Fargas has the experience. McFadden has better hands, but Fargas is no slouch and I was calling for him to be the starter the year before last - everybody called me crazy then.Even if Fargas doesn't lose his spot Bush certainly has a chance to earn more carries now and McFadden has clearly shown he's ready to play as long as hes healthy.
