Obviously this not meant as a slap at footballguys, but I am wondering what other sites football guys use or checkout. There are tons of sites out there.......what do the sharks use.

Sharks will not tell you.And the ones that do...are pulling a shark move.
This is absurd. My edge isn't found in some out of the way site that only a select few people know about. My edge is in spending hours upon hours in the off season (when most of my opponents are not even casually glancing at what's happening in the NFL) scouring multiple sources and viewpoints on everything fantasy related. By August I've forgotten more than anyone else in my league has "learned" about transactions/training camp and injury updates. The Sportings News in-season seems to be pretty solid - The Way We Hear It and Friday Injury reports. FFToday and Fanball have some free content worth checking in on once a week. Just read as many reputable sources as you can and think for yourself. THAT'S what the other sharks are doing.

huddle.com. David M kicks ###.
That was the site I used up until this year. I noticed that the message board over there is no where near as active as this one in the offseason. Just seems like there is more content over here and people have been telling me that for years and I am finally switching to FBG's for my in-season content. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fantasyfootballjournal.com is pretty good. New content every day during the week, weekly podcasts, lots of dynasty and strategy content.

the force is strong with this one

Nothing is better than talking to people that work for the teams.

Some media guys are not bad to talk to with regards to getting good info., too.

If that's all you care about, I agree this msg board has a lot more activity. As to one site being better than the other as far as what you get when you "subscribe" I can't say....in general though both this one and huddle (and a few others to various degrees) have a lot of good content.

After FBG --

I like fanball and huddle.com. Will check out SportingNews. KFFL has good up to date news althoguh it can be overwhelming at times to go through and look for one nugget - although along with FBG news blogger, I find them invaluable during the season. I checked out fantasy football journal and liked what I saw. Seems like they have alot of content for a wee site.

Also, I go to ESPN.com and do the opposite of what Scott Engel says to do. Seems to work.

And as for worrying about sharing sourcves of info -- like someone said, it ain't the info, it's how you use it. I don't go to other sites to be told what to do -- I go to see what THEY think, then process it with the other multiple opinions to alter or confirm my own.

:)

Mostly FBG and Huddle, but I do check a lot of the other sites if I run out of stuff to go over. The offseason is horrible.

:lmao: how true that statement is!

you can add to that list:

Mike Fabiano

Jamey Eisenberg ( Sportsline.com)

I enjoy the Huddle, Fanball, KFFL (for the wire) and listen to alot of podcasts, though very few stand out. I am/will be checking out a few sites listed here I had not seen or gone to (SportingNews). I checked out FFToday and like it (why I hadn't before I dunno) and checked out that Fantasy football journal site that came up a couple times in the thread. Like someone said, for a small site, it's got alot of content which seem to have pretty good takes. Went to footballoutsiders and like the football content there.

I also go to a Jets blog called the Jets Stream that I like and keeps me up to date on that team -- while not FF per se,it's a help and I bet there are a lot of other blogs like it.

edited to add -- like has been said 40 million times this thread - I never worry about who else has the info I do. It's what I do with it that helps me win.

Plus, I like competetive leagues - so if I send a few guys to FBG or similiar sites, it just makes it more fun and challenging.

I was wondering - and maybe this is worthy of it's own thread, but why jam up the Pool filter  ?

Are there podcasts other than the Audible that people find useful?

And since NoFBinLA mentioned a blog - anyone know some good blogs by beat writers?
