Favorite FBG Content...what you got? (1 Viewer)

I joined FGB as a subscriber 2 years ago, after following the Audible from its inception.

There are a BUNCH of articles I look forward to each week. My favorite new features are Jene's Sight Adjustments and Haseley's Cliff Notes.

I would like the writers to know how much I appreciate their insight, and how their thoughts, suggestions, and perspective permeates my FF 'knowledge' (term used loosely, but hey, I do ok).

Here are some of my favorites...if it's not here, it's not that I don't read it! These are just the ones that seem to apply/help in my particular leagues.

eta: It's not that I don't read the other content articles, I do, it's just that this application is the first thing I want and come looking for. I get annoyed when it's late. I tend to look at the target info also because very few folks do and it provides valuable insight into various teams passing games. Other content is valuable to me also but I don't have a set list that I must read each week. Must have content is the LD (projections) for me. It is quite simply my favorite tool to evaluate all of my teams in one nutshell.

Honestly, I've found most of the projections no better than the free sites. Most of the "insight" and "analysis" content is also available freely on team fan boards. But I still pony up the $28-whatever every year solely for Wimer's Gridiron Chef. Last year's Pork Chops with Plum Sauce was easily #1.

Although I found the "Thyme to Strip" recipe disgusting. Not the food itself, but that kind of over-sexualized pun in the title is offensive and doesn't belong on this otherwise family-friendly website.

Better yet, will the real Mark Wimer 'please stand up?'. Checking out the photos of Mark from Week 2 and Week 3 means he either had a real bad fantasy week, or went on one of those 'Makeover' shows.Week 2

I noticed that there aren't any special teams/team defense included anymore. I realize that there is a breakdown on the weekly Passing/Rushing matchups regarding defense, but I always liked to read about them in the weekly recaps. When did they stop doing this?

Black - I appreciate the recognition. I'm sure, we all do. :lmao: I started the Cliff Notes article as more of a guide for the casual fantasy fan, wondering what's going on in the league, or who's hot/not heading into the next week. For fantasy owners who visit their team page once or maybe twice a week, this article can be a nice "cliff notes" summary of what's going on and how to prepare for the coming week's games. By the way, have you checked out Jason Wood's - Tipping Point weekly article? He weighs weekly player projections that David Dodds and Sigmund Bloom are miles apart on and then he gives his take. It also includes the results from the previous week to show who was more "on" with their projections. Good stuff there.

The MyFBG is the best thing. Enter all your players...see either rankings for your scoring, get all the news on your players right there. I love that feature.

Without a doubt- all the IDP content.

Ear to the Ground

Eyes of the Guru

Reading the Defense

Those articles alone are worth the subscription.
