Favre certain that Moss will be a Packer in '07 (1 Viewer)

A "source with knowledge of the situation" tells Profootballtalk.com that Brett Favre is certain Randy Moss will be a Packer in 2007.

It's pretty clear that Favre wants Moss to be his teammate, with the only thing holding a trade back at this point reportedly being compensation. If a deal is to be struck, it will almost certainly happen on April 28.

I'm reminded of the song, I'm My Own Grandpa.

If they got Moss and Turner I would probably start drinking the Favre kool-aid again. Those are 2 big IFs right now.

Then Moss becomes a headache next season when Favre retires and its Oakland all over again... or maybe not.

Hope it happens. Favre throws deep. Moss goes and gets it.

Moss finally will have someone on the other side.

As long as W's come and they are in contention which they should be until the last two weeks or so. They have a chance. Moss will play.

NOT THIS AGAIN
You'd have to expect that this talk would start back up a few weeks before the draft. I'd have to imagine that we will hear a steady stream of rumors including Moss until draft day.If Moss can restructure his contract, a 3rd round pick would be a steal for GB IMO.

Once Moss is on board, I'll stick around longer than you think. Unless we win it all in 2007....not likely. Also, once Moss is on board, I am back to 30 + TD passes with a weak runing game and a WR crew of Driver, Moss and Jennings.

There are very likely some deals that were already agreed to that will not be announced until draft day. This trade and the Briggs/Washington deal are the two I'll be looking for on April 28.

As a Moss owner I really really hope this happens. It sounds like it will, kind of reminds me of the Javon Walker situation in reverse.

Could be Driver, Moss, Jennings, Robinson, Ginn

I was telling him to stop talking like he's Favre.

jeter23 has to be an employee of PFT. I see no other reason why he posts so much garbage here.
Why kill the messenger? He's just sharing what he found. I appreciate that he does that. I can decide if it's worth anything or to dismiss it.
EVERY thread that originates from PFT "Challenge Everything" does just that. He should change his name to "Challenge PFT".Moss to Green Bay makes more sense than Moss in Oakland at this point.

With the first overall selection of the 2007 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select....Calvin Johnson, Wide Receiver, Georgia Tech...

-somewhere in the second round...-

There has been a trade between the Green Bay Packers and the Oakland Raiders...Green bay sends its second round pick to the Raiders for Wide Receiver Randy Moss...

Nice.

For what is worth Randy Moss was in Green Bay for 4 hours yesterday to meet with the Packers. My friend who works at the airport checked him in.

I'm a Packer fan and the Randy Moss owner in a league with "Chuck Cecil" and I find out his inside scoop while reading FBG's...instead of receiving a phone call from him. I called him and his source is reliable.Of course Randy Moss being in Green Bay leads me to believe the parameters of a deal are in place.

:lmao: Nah, he's not that type of guy...and I have images of Randy Moss cathing passes from Brett Favre dancing in my head. That, basically, makes him untradeable right now.I just can't see Randy visiting the frozen tundra unless a deal is in place with the Pack.

Stop it. You guys are getting me very excited that I may have stolen Randy Moss for dirt cheap with a mid-round pick.

For the last few years I've wanted TO or Moss to go catch passes from perhaps the only QB they would respect. How comical would it be to see TO sitting on the bench as Favre laid into him for running the wrong route? Favre would love to reinstate the "Randy ratio" in Green Bay this year, and I'd love to watch it happen.

What would Moss in GB do to Driver's value? Would he still be top 20? I think he would. Maybe top 25 to be conservative but he should still have solid vlaue at 20-25. As for Favre, it should be a great year. Maybe 4000 yds and 30-34 TD's?

I can see 4000, but 25-29 TD's. I can't see a 30 TD season for him again.

With no real options at RB right now, someone is gonna have to score the TDs. My guess is GB will once again live and die by Favre's arm. GB passed the ball 630 times last year (league high). If Moss is in that mix I could easily see 30+ TDs.
