I haven't been following the story that close the 2nd time around so I don't know how true this is but I'm really shaking my head at the situation. I've always been a huge Favre fan but he's really dropped a lot in my eyes. This has really gone far beyond the point of ridiculous.

That being said, hello QB#2!!

Sportcenter reporting a Minny TV station saying the signing is a done deal.

Totally awesome. This story is great. I can't wait till next summer.

Geez - the two Colts home pre-season games could have been huge if the timing was better. Favre playing for the Vikes - Vick playing for the Eagles. But - Favre signed too late - Vick isn't making the trip to Indy this week because he couldn't play anyway via commissioner's ruling. My wallet is sad today (couldn't sell game #1 (couldn't go because my car was in the shop) - sold game #2 at less than 25% of face value).

Edit - I hate preseason, just like any season ticket holder does/should.

Unless the guy with the 1st waiver pick takes him (I'm 2nd on the list), he's going to be my starter.... The horror....

blah...he's probably is better than the QB"S they have. was looking forward to him not being here though...

At this point, Rosenfels is a better option.
Oh yea, he's been a home run hitter at every stop along his path so far. His name is SAGE! I assure you he is not the better option.Good for Brett. The media and world totally backlashed on him for this, and I agree, the drama is too much, but good for him saying "screw it" and that he's going to play ball.

The Vikings are a joke. So much for the door being "closed." Bring it on Brett. I'll enjoy you getting your a** kicked against us.

He'll probably have second thoughts on the plane ride, and the jet will just circle over the Minnesota airport until it runs out of fuel and plunges into a lake.

Per Mort on ESPN Radio - on a plane to Minny. Will land at noon. Take physical. If he passes physical, then he will sign a 2 year deal.

2 years....hah!!!

Charles Woodson, Al Harris, Atari Bigby, and Nick Collins just did a little dance I think.

Sorry, but that's just not the Favre way.Favre will jump into the cockpit on approach, guide the plane into a lake, and then parachute out, leaving his fellow passengers to plunge into the icy depths. Then he will head over to the airport and look for another flight to board.

I have always been a huge Favre fan. I am sorry he never retired a Packer. Last season with the Jet's was a disaster.

This can only help the Vikings though. Sage Rosenfelds is a career backup and will always be a career back up. His decision making is just bad I mean really bad. Favre has had some very questionable decisions.....but he has always had the gun to try and make those kind of throws. He will always be a gun slinger.

As far as the drama......I never paid any attention to it. If Favre is on the field playing...I will watch him play. He has always played the game with nothing short of a 150%. It is a joy to watch the guy play. If he is healthy....the Vikings have a legit shot to go very far.

Bump up Sidney Rice. He is the real value on that team this year.

Oh, that would be too easy. Shouldn't the jet plunge into the state capitol building while Brett parachutes out and lands at the Metrodome, spraining his elbow in the process?

I love football.

Favre and Vick both back in the NFL. TO in Buffalo. Cutler in Chicago. Mangini in Cleveland. McDaniels in Denver. Tom Cable punches his assistant and factures his jaw. Tom Brady is back. Big Ben is a rapist. Brandon Marshall wants traded. I LOVE THE NFL!!!

.....and it's not even Week 1 yet.

SEERIOUSLY - He should have just said he didn't want to do ALL of training camp to start with!

He ought to not play QB anymore and just get his own reality show!

"No don't land yet...that's just what they'd be expecting us to do..."

He can still enter the building through his private dressing room.Does anybody want to start a thread on whether he'll throw more TDs or more picks?

The Packer games are going to be epic this year. Well, the games on the field might not be epic, but it will be an epic media frenzy.

You really couldn't make this up if you tried. Imagine if a young screenwriter pitched the Favre story to a studio exec? They would probably get thrown out on their ### for being too convoluted and unrealistic.

So basically Favre didn't want to practice during the hot summer months with his new Vikings teammates. He also didn't want everyone bothering him. SO he says he won't play knowing all along that a few weeks into camp he will come in ready to play in the only meaningful preseason game - week 3.

IIRC, Thomas Jones and other Jets blasted Favre after last season as being aloof and not much a teammate.

Talent wise, Favre is a huge upgrade over Sage, Tavaris and Josh; however, chemistry matters. How will he get along with his new teammates? That is the only questionmark in this equation.

Will the Vikings get a primadonna or a saviour? Only time will tell.

"That Vick punk is a joke. I'll show him how to stir up some controversy. One way ticket to Minny please." says that guy from There's Something About Mary.

Jeebus. I don't think I can be a Vikings fan anymore. The travishamockeryness of all this is way beyond ludicrous speed. :lmao:
I think both Packer's and Viking's fans are banging their heads against a wall today.I don't know how the Viking's front office can save face in this after they insisted the door was closed and they had moved on. I guess if Brett delivers victories people will forget but what's going to happen if the Vikings get out to a slow start?

Really :lmao: I enjoyed it... Team won 4 games the year before... For a while there the team looked like it had potential, and then I blame 90% of the rest on Mangini who was promptly fired.

enjoy seeing #4 in purple pack fans :lmao:
The man has become a monumental joke, and the Vikings are now part of the punch line. The ol gunslinger's been spending about an hour per day throwing passes to high school kids in podunk nowhere. And now he'll get his wish to skip pretty much all of training camp and just show up on Sundays. I can only see bad things in Minny's future now. They will regret this if they make him their QB.As a Packer fan I have no problem with this at all. I think they'd be better with either Sage or Tavaris. As a FF GM with A Peterson as a keeper, I'm pissed about it.

It's entirely possible that they get both.

I'm starting to hope that the o-line, at the first opportunity, stands up, turns aside and let's the entire defensive line drill him.

Come on....Favre looked awful the last 4-5 weeks. My Dolphins made him look silly in that last game. He looked a shell of himself last year...I did not see the fire and hop in his step that we have come to known. Wrong team for him.
