Unless the guy with the 1st waiver pick takes him (I'm 2nd on the list), he's going to be my starter.... The horror....Banger said:I haven't been following the story that close the 2nd time around so I don't know how true this is but I'm really shaking my head at the situation. I've always been a huge Favre fan but he's really dropped a lot in my eyes. This has really gone far beyond the point of ridiculous.
That being said, hello QB#2!!![]()

Oh yea, he's been a home run hitter at every stop along his path so far. His name is SAGE! I assure you he is not the better option.Good for Brett. The media and world totally backlashed on him for this, and I agree, the drama is too much, but good for him saying "screw it" and that he's going to play ball.At this point, Rosenfels is a better option.
The Vikings are a joke. So much for the door being "closed." Bring it on Brett. I'll enjoy you getting your a** kicked against us.sho nuff said:What if he gets there and the door is literally closed?![]()
Sorry, but that's just not the Favre way.Favre will jump into the cockpit on approach, guide the plane into a lake, and then parachute out, leaving his fellow passengers to plunge into the icy depths. Then he will head over to the airport and look for another flight to board. He'll probably have second thoughts on the plane ride, and the jet will just circle over the Minnesota airport until it runs out of fuel and plunges into a lake.
Oh, that would be too easy. Shouldn't the jet plunge into the state capitol building while Brett parachutes out and lands at the Metrodome, spraining his elbow in the process? He'll probably have second thoughts on the plane ride, and the jet will just circle over the Minnesota airport until it runs out of fuel and plunges into a lake.
"No don't land yet...that's just what they'd be expecting us to do..."He'll probably have second thoughts on the plane ride, and the jet will just circle over the Minnesota airport until it runs out of fuel and plunges into a lake.
He can still enter the building through his private dressing room.Does anybody want to start a thread on whether he'll throw more TDs or more picks?sho nuff said:What if he gets there and the door is literally closed?![]()
FixedHe was my favorite player of all time and the reason I'm a FFB nut as he was on my team from 1995-1997. Now he just annoys the crap out of me.fixedjoffer said:what a drama queen and a jackass![]()
He used to play for the Jets...I'm a HUGE fan.Who's Brett Favre again?![]()

I think both Packer's and Viking's fans are banging their heads against a wall today.I don't know how the Viking's front office can save face in this after they insisted the door was closed and they had moved on. I guess if Brett delivers victories people will forget but what's going to happen if the Vikings get out to a slow start?Jeebus. I don't think I can be a Vikings fan anymore. The travishamockeryness of all this is way beyond ludicrous speed.![]()
ReallyI have always been a huge Favre fan. I am sorry he never retired a Packer. Last season with the Jet's was a disaster.
I enjoyed it... Team won 4 games the year before... For a while there the team looked like it had potential, and then I blame 90% of the rest on Mangini who was promptly fired. The man has become a monumental joke, and the Vikings are now part of the punch line. The ol gunslinger's been spending about an hour per day throwing passes to high school kids in podunk nowhere. And now he'll get his wish to skip pretty much all of training camp and just show up on Sundays. I can only see bad things in Minny's future now. They will regret this if they make him their QB.As a Packer fan I have no problem with this at all. I think they'd be better with either Sage or Tavaris. As a FF GM with A Peterson as a keeper, I'm pissed about it.enjoy seeing #4 in purple pack fans![]()
It's entirely possible that they get both.So basically Favre didn't want to practice during the hot summer months with his new Vikings teammates. He also didn't want everyone bothering him. SO he says he won't play knowing all along that a few weeks into camp he will come in ready to play in the only meaningful preseason game - week 3.
IIRC, Thomas Jones and other Jets blasted Favre after last season as being aloof and not much a teammate.
Talent wise, Favre is a huge upgrade over Sage, Tavaris and Josh; however, chemistry matters. How will he get along with his new teammates? That is the only questionmark in this equation.
Will the Vikings get a primadonna or a saviour? Only time will tell.
I'm starting to hope that the o-line, at the first opportunity, stands up, turns aside and let's the entire defensive line drill him.So basically Favre didn't want to practice during the hot summer months with his new Vikings teammates. Enjoy him forgetting the guys in green and gold are no longer on his team and throwing it right to Charles Woodson.enjoy seeing #4 in purple pack fans![]()
Come on....Favre looked awful the last 4-5 weeks. My Dolphins made him look silly in that last game. He looked a shell of himself last year...I did not see the fire and hop in his step that we have come to known. Wrong team for him.ReallyI have always been a huge Favre fan.
