FBG Application rankings (1 Viewer)

I have run the following league settings into the VBD and Draft Dominator applications:

1 pt 10 yds rushing and receiving

1 pt 15 yds passing

6 pts all TD's, including passing

10 team redraft

Start: 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 Flex, TE, K, Def

The DD is ranking Brady and Brees #1 and #3 overall.

VBD is ranking Moss #20, Fitz #21, AJohnson #23 and CalJohnson #24.

Obviously, this goes against many drafting strategies. I am drafting #9, and was anticipating going WR-WR in 1st and 2nd.

Am I crazy for thinking these rankings are off-based, or do the league settings justify changing the fairly typical draft strategies?

Check your math. I just entered those criteria into DD and didn't come up with that at all. If that's fine, are you sorting by total points and not VBD?

Oh, and the 6 pt TDs and 1 pts/15 yards passing do mean that Brady and Brees should go before pick 9, but not 1 and 3.

There's you answer. At point per 15 yards passing as well 6 points per passing TD, QBs are going to be crazy valued. You only start 2 WRs which lowers their value as well.

I'm not sure what the sort was set on, it was my first time using DD. I'll have to go back in and play with it a little more I guess!

That's what I was figuring as well. How would this alter your draft strategy then? When I look at the rankings, I don't like the way a team potentially plays out when a QB is drafted in the first or second round. Would this QB scoring system make it worth drafting one early at the expense of your WR and RB potential? This scoring system (which is new to our league) is really throwing me off this year!

those rules make getting a top 3 qb paramount, and yes, they should go early to mid first round. If one of those 2 falls to you, grab them! There will be PLENTY of value falling down to you later at RB/WR.

It's also a 10 team league. I can see how DD would give some strange sounding advice with that scoring system.
