FBG Expert Rankings - Ranking the experts themselves (1 Viewer)

As we all know, VBD, AVT, etc. are great tools for fantasy drafting, but as valuable as they are, the player rankings are critical. The best VBD in the world won't help you much if your player rankings aren't any good.

Having said that, are there any FBG expert(s) who YOU tend to rely on more for their opinions on relative player values or who you tend to rely on less, and why?

Or maybe you break it down - Levin's your guy for QBs & WRs, but Henry knows defense, etc. ...

Also, has anyone crunched any numbers on which of the FBG experts have historically been more or less accurate in their predictions?

Redraft - no preference as I think many do a fine job.

Dynasty - Bloom is king and Jeff isn't far behind in my book.

I pay attention to staff rankings based on subject matter.

I like looking at Herman's PK rankings for example because he puts more time into those rankings than anybody on the face of the planet. Look at how different his rankings are from the rest of the staff. I know he can back up all of those rankings with sound arguments.

Henry and Wood have had rankings similar to mine over the past couple of years. As a result I think they use a similar methodology to me so I definitley look for large variances between those two and mine.

The consensus is really the most valuable perspective to utilize. You get a lot of smart/experienced guys ranking players and the resulting consensus is usually very good.

:goodposting: Not for his rankings or anything - I just love reading his posts. And I REALLY love getting into player debates with him.

Except for his overblown homerism for the Chargers, I think MTremblay has a real solid grasp of rankings - and he goes beyond the renaissance theory of knowing a little baout everything - he knows a LOT about just about everything and what he doesn't already know, he knows how to get the correct answer.

Of course, I tend to like my rankings a lot. :D
