General Malaise
Footballguy
It was a scorching hot blistering Saturday afternoon and the Malaise family was gearing up for their second son's second birthday party. 50 guests were slated to arrive and the Field General, aka Flaghoople, was running on fumes getting the house and food ready for the onslaught of tiny people, hungry adults and beer swilling friends of her degnerate husband.
An hour prior to the party, GM was ordered to buy beer and ice for the party, a task met with glee as purchasing beer is one of the few things the patriarch ever botches. Upon arriving at Rite Aid (the greatest secret to cheap beer prices in the country), sales galore popped into sight.
First in the cart, Bridgeport IPA - an award winning local microbrew that typically sells for 13 bucks plus was on sale for $11.98 a half rack. Beer enthusiasts amongst my guests would certianly appreciate this brew on a hot afternoon.
Next, GM spotted Pacifico Beer - a Mexican selection rating a tad higher than Corona in social circles but selling for less this afternoon at $10.99 a twelve pack.
Then, a screaming deal on St. Pauli Girl - $8.99 for 12 German beers with a picture of buxom European hottie on the bottle. What's not to love?
Finally, and because GM was ordered by his doctor to lose weight, a 12 pack of Michelob Ultra was tossed into the cart along with 4 bags of ice.
By 6pm, every beer was gone. My question to you, FBG, is this: One of the brands of beers went first. In fact, one of the brands was gone long before the rest. Which one was it and why?
