Format for Round 2

All four leagues will be Best-ball Play-all format

In Best-ball, the highest-possible scoring line-up is automatically started for each team.
In All-play, teams play every other team every week. The highest scoring team will go 11-0 that week. The second-highest scoring team will go 10-1. Etc.
The three teams from each league with the best records from Week 6 through Week 10 advance.Scoring will be WCOFF rules

Starting line-ups will consist of 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 flex (RB, WR, TE), 1 PK, and 1 defense/ST.

The draft will consist of 22 rounds. The order will be determined by KDS and includes a 3RR.

In KDS, you will pick your draft spot.
In 3RR, the draft is order is as follows:
Round 1 - 1-12
Round 2 - 12-1
Round 3 - 12-1
Round 4 - 1-12
Round 5 - 12-1
Round 6 - 1-12

Question: I have no problem with the draft order set by previous round scoring. My team BARELY scraped by and I'll take whatever draft spot I get.

But is DRAFT TIME/LEAGUE determined by previous record/scoring as well???? If I get stuck in a 6PM league by virtue of my previous poor showing, I can't make the draft.

There are two perfectly good solutions for those who can't make the draft, neither of which may provide you the team you want, but will ensure you have a team. Don't make waves, this procedure was set in the stone age and cannot be changed.
 
Well I hope a get a spot on Saturday from the 32 hole. If not I'll make sure I can find a sub to draft for me. I'm just happy to move on. Thanks guys.

I can't wait to hear what this is and who had the bright idea to begin with.. And staffers... DON'T STAY IN HIDING... REVEAL YOURSELF. Who's idea was this? Every mid season draft I've seen is so scattered across the board its borderline ridiculous to think there's a hidden gem from the 8 hole... but hey, this is ENTERTAINMENT!

:shrug:Clayton and I had a discussion by email yesterday trying to figure out what we wanted to do. We ended up going around in circles. I thought it was a pretty tough decision myself, but ultimately decided the 8 slot was what I wanted to do. I knew Clayton was considering something similar, but chuckled this morning when I saw Dodds and Capy there, too. I imagine we're thinking something similar to what you are in the 6 slot.

Maybe its the allure of drafting at #8, #16, and #28 to secure your core.
 
O.K. I'll put this out now. I'm in the 46 hole. If I can't get the late Saturday draft I'm up a creek without a paddle and the water's rising. I won't be near,around or under a computer until then and any "surrogate" I might ask and trust will be with me. So I'll ask now,IF I don't get in the late Saturday draft is there anyone who might be able to "swap" with me? Or is that against the rules? If that's not possible the congrats to whichever league I wind up in,ya'll will get 1 free victory each week. :lol:

Maybe it is because more people made it thru from the 8 spot than any other.

Only 10 leagues drafted (2 were auction). Here were the draft slots of those that advanced:1 - 2

2 - 4

3 - 4

4 - 1

5 - 4

6 - 4

7 - 2

8 - 5

Although I would think that is just random and won't happen again (hopefully since they are all staffers now). However, since they are all staff and they got through at a higher rate than board guys, it may be more likely to happen again, but not because of the spot but because of who has that spot.

lol... that explains it. I was in the same boat... I looked at it every which way I could think of and in the end decided to just plop down a seat in the middle to minimize the runs.

QB squeeze.I think I'm guaranteed a spot in the early Friday draft, which means I should be able to personally make most of my picks. In other words, Dodds is going down in a heap of flames. :goodposting:

If it's allowed, I'll be willing to trade draft spots with somebody if it opens up a time they can draft. I have a preferance towards a middle spot in a later (9 PM) draft, but with 3RR draft positon isn't as important.

Seriously. I had to question at the beginning of the week why the staff thought it would take all week to get the drafts set up. But geez, how are you the Ultimate Survivor if you can't check your email or this board a couple of times a day?

Guys, the big step here is that I'm trying to make sure there are spots available for everyone that is unable to make make one or more of the drafts. Please try to be patient.

 
My logic from the 8 spot is it gives me max flexibility. I could see going RB/WR/RB, RB/RB/WR, WR/RB/WR, WR/WR/RB as all viable options here. Also I wanted to stay towards the middle so that I maximize my chance at value players.

Good point. If I come up during the day and have not selected. Guys, please IM me. I keep this site open at work all day and will glady IM my choices. I cannot check my home email remotely. :angry:

I know you're doing your best. I just think it's funny that I originally thought we'd be ready to go by tonight and we've only placed 12 of 48 people in a league so far. Guess you knew what you were talking about when you said the leagues would have to be Fri and Sat.
 
Besides, if I do get placed in a Sat draft, my probable replacement drafter is a lot better at this than I am, LOL.

Because it was decided that it was a nice reward for leg 1 leaders to be able to pick their draft spot.With 3RR though, I think it would have made more sense to put a bigger priority on slotting people into workable draft times. We stil could have picked our draft slot THEN (right before the draft) instead of now.

:confused:I appreciate the effort Clayton, but I figure rather than you trying to solve everyone's problems, let's let the chips fall and then let people trade spots, etc. to solve our own problems.
 
Not many in there for LEague 1 - are you all afraid of me? EBF in for some more beating?

I shouldn't talk smack... no doubts my team will suck now. :confused:

BTW - Finishing top-10 out of 144 in itself is pretty darn good IMO
