FBG's Black Eyed Joe Appeared in my buddy's beer Today (1 Viewer)

Is BWW any good? It always seems too chainy/kitschy for me and there are enough pubs around that I never have gone.

It is delicious and the TV setup is typically very good. However, it is too popular in most major markets to waste your time on Sunday unless you are down to get there earlier than I would be.

I don't care if a place is a chain or one-of-a-kind. Is the food good? Beer selection good? Plenty of TVs? Easy to get a seat? That's all that matters.

At my location:

Food B- (wings are solid but not spectacular, sauces are good, rest of the food is pretty much garbage)

TVs A+ (Not sure how they could fit more... half dozen huge projection HD screens too.)

Beer selection A (for non microbrewery)

Crowd B+ (don't have to get there too early.. 15 min before kickoff is usually fine)

Wait Staff: C- (80% guys... almost never an attractive female... only 10-20% of them are timely with food/drinks)

This is pretty much my take as well. The bar top seats are the best, the rest of them in the "bar area" are incredibly uncomfortable after about an hour. My dad swears he saw an interview where the owner admitted to the chairs being intentionally uncomfortable to discourage people camping for too long.

The buffalo chicken sandwich tossed in Jammin Jalapeno instead of the their mild sauce is my go to choice for food other then wings.

My biggest reason for choosing BWW is due to the non smoking factor. Every other sports bar in Nashville is 21+ and smells like an ashtray

:goodposting:

The lack of smoke is nice.

The posted "No Firearms" policy is a deterrent that keeps myself and a lot of people I know from going more regularly.
