Raspy plays Kg1
Bf6 won't work for him, i don't think. The first thing that occurs to me is f4 Bf6 Bxf6 Rxe4- or some variation of this. He sacks the bishop to get rid of one of the pawns.
f4 Bf6 Bxf6 Rxe4 Bg4 Re5 Bh6 Rh5 Bf7 Rg5 I don't know how we win this.
Awesome! You see everything. I didn't see Bd4+Bf6 won't work for him, i don't think.
...f4
Bf6...bxf6
Rxe4...bd4+
Kf1...be3
That's gotta be a win for us.
I am not really sure either. Think we need some help here.f4 Bc3 Rd1+ Kh2 Bg3+ Kg2 e3 Bd4 Bh4 not sure.
Well first off I don't know how to protect our e pawn after f4 and Bc3 (I haven't even looked at Bc5)I think he plays bc3 or bc5 after f4. Will look at those.
What are your thoughts behind ka6?
No I looked at that wrong. After Kc7 Kg1 and it's still a draw. Dammit.e3 Bxe3 fxe3 Rxh4 e2 Re4 Kc7 we win. So he can't take the pawn on e3. What else can he do?
Keep marching the pawns. F3f3 Bc5 Rd2 Kb1 still can't make this work...
what if after the f3 move he would move his bishop to e3?Keep marching the pawns. F3
If, as you suggest he plays
Bc5...Bg3
No matter what he does, its checkmate rd1 or his d pawn is dead.
Good question. I dont see a winning answer to that.what if after the f3 move he would move his bishop to e3?
if tim/our move was the other pawn to e3 I could see maybe his bishop to c3? think he is going to look for the draw here and would give up that pawn. I really am not good though...Good question. I dont see a winning answer to that.
Yep. f3 Be3 leads to a drawGood question. I dont see a winning answer to that.
humor me tim. what if after bg5 white were to go bishop to f6?Just what I was thinking. What's white's move?
We should explore the bishop moves first and see if there's any way to winI think i like f3 best. Puts some pressure on him. If he forces a draw, so be it.
I wish he would. Bxf6 Rxe4 Bg5 and hopefully we could protect that pawn with the bishop and eke out a win.humor me tim. what if after bg5 white were to go bishop to f6?
How does it draw?I wish he would. Bxf6 Rxe4 Bg5 and hopefully we could protect that pawn with the bishop and eke out a win.
But after Bg5 I expect him to play Be5. And that leads to a draw.
Bg5 Be5 f3 Rxe4 Rd1+- you're right. It doesn't draw. I forgot about Rd1+How does it draw?
...bg5
Be5...f3
Then what does he do?
But maybe it goes?
...bg5
Bc3...rd1+
Kh2...e3
Rc5...bd8
Rf5 (or rc4)...bc7
Is d pawn is dead and our f pawn is protected?
Maybe, but what are the thoughts behind him playing kg1 after re2? I think i would play rc8 if i was him.Wait!!
I may have found it.
Re2 Kg1 f3 Kh1 Bg3 Rc1 Bc7!
That's the move I couldn't find.
Now Kg1 e3 Bxe3 Rxe3 and I THINK we can guard our f pawn in time to capture his d pawn. I think.
Yeah that's true.Maybe, but what are the thoughts behind him playing kg1 after re2? I think i would play rc8 if i was him.
