Tragedy strikes Bowling Green

It truly was one of the most senseless tragedies in American history.  I am thankful that President Trump is willing to take a stand and ensure this never happens to anyone again.  We must stand united, in this time of remembrance .

I went to school in Toledo and had friends that lived in Bowling Green and my wife has family living there so this is a particularly sobering event for me.  

Even though this fake tragedy happened in Bowling Green, Kentucky and not Bowling Green Ohio,  it still hurts.

The 1984 NCAA Men's Division I Ice Hockey Tournament was the culmination of the 1983–84 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season, the 37th such tournament in NCAA history. It was held between March 16 and 24, 1984, and concluded with Bowling Green defeating Minnesota-Duluth 5-4 in quadruple overtime. All Quarterfinals matchups were held at home team venues while all succeeding games were played at the 1980 Olympic Arena in Lake Placid, New York.

As of 2016 the final game is the longest match to determine a champion in NCAA history.

...but UMD did finally exorcise the demons with a national title in 2011
