I drafted Bradshaw in both my leagues and stayed far away from Felix.
Reason? I just hate to hear speed backs bulking up for the pounding of the NFL season. I've heard it 100's of times and it almost always results in a guy half a step slower and missing holes he used to hit. I'll take that same guy as a value pick the following year when he reports at his best weight. Done this more than once and got them late, sometimes it works and sometimes not, but the price is low.
When Felix was in TC we heard about swelling in his knee even before contact drills. Big red flag for me.
I know the guy has his fans and I could be wrong but I hate getting a bust pick that I didn't like from the start. Heaven knows I get enough picks wrong that I like.
OTOH I really like Bradshaws chances this year, got him in the 8th in my 10 teamer and as RB4 I can wait to see things shake out. He's only 24, on a team that loves to run and Jacobs seems to have a target on his back. I noticed in the second half of 09 that opposing def's were just gang tackling Jacobs at the knees, it was the best way to bring him down. I expect this to continue this year and I don't care how tough you are if enough NFL linebackers keep cracking you in the knees something's going to give. So Ahmads more elusive running style makes him a good gamble here.
I realize that this seems over simplified but sometimes you just don't want to overthink it.
