Link requires subscription which I dont have, but my league puts up snippets of their news articles:

The Dallas Morning News is reporting that running back Felix Jones is out for the rest of the season due to a toe injury.

Analysis: Details aren't forthcoming yet, but he apparently injured the toe last week while rehabbing from the hamstring injury that has kept him out the last several weeks. This is extremely bad news for the Cowboys, who had effectively used Jones as a speed complement to the bruising Marion Barber. The Cowboys will either have to scour the waiver wire for a replacement, or trust rookie Tashard Choice to spell Barber during games.

As a Barber owner, this is GREAT news! I only wish it came last night so that I coulda dropped Felix during my FA waiver window!

Tim MacMahon E-mail News tips

Rookie RB Felix Jones has been placed on the injured reserve and will have surgery to repair a torn ligament underneath his left big toe.

A date has yet to be set for the operation, which will be performed by Dr. Robert Anderson, a foot and ankle specialist in Charlotte, N.C.

Jones, the No. 22 overall pick in the draft, provided a big-play complement to Marion Barber and showed flashes of brilliance in his six games. He had 266 yards on 30 carries (8.9 yards per carry) and scored four touchdowns, including a kickoff return.

Jones suffered a partially torn hamstring on a 14-yard run in the loss to the Cardinals and hasn't played since. He suffered the toe injury while rehabbing his hamstring.

The Cowboys' medical staff, with input from Dr. Anderson, determined that the best option for Jones' long-term future would be to have season-ending surgery on the toe.
