Btw, I'm not understanding the 0.5 pts given for a Goal Against. For example, we have Koscielny and he got 0.5 pts for giving up a goal. That's cool and all but is that how it's supposed to be? Is it going to be 0.5 pts for every goal given up? Am I missing something?

That's similar to the FPL rules we played under the past two years. FPL deducted 1 point for every 2 goals conceded by a goalkeeper or defender. Fantrax deducts 0.5 points for each goal.

I think it might be adding points though.

Right. It should probably be -0.5 but it looks like it's +0.5 for giving up a goal. This certainly would have completely changed my draft strategy. Or maybe not, Mr. Koscielny.

Fixed. :bag: I don't know if it'll be in effect for GW#1. If not, we can do manual adjustments.

Fantrax live scoring also appears to take a very liberal definition of clean sheets. I assume this will be fixed before Monday.

Newcastle: Krul, Debuchy, Taylor, Coloccini, Yanga-Mbiwa, Tiote, Gutierrez, Ben Arfa, Sissoko, Gouffran, Cisse.

OMG A GUY ON MY TEAM IS STARTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time for the Belgian cavalry. KDB era at Stanford Bridge starts today. Lukaku om the bench, though. Maybe a mistake in the second round. :belgianwaffle:
Kind of a bummer (for you guys) that KDB's assist was to Oscar. Chelsea just has (have? never sure on this) an absurd amount of attacking talent. Wednesday's match against Villa will still count for this week's matchup, yes?

I believe so, yes.

when can we add/drop players? :can'twait:
I'll change the league settings after the Wednesday game.

Waivers will be processed at 3AM EST Friday
How do we handle waivers if we're looking at a player who's not in the league yet?
I would say it's just easiest to force all teams to wait until a player is in the system.

Otherwise, could do it where you pick some scrub and after waivers are run, each team that picked up said scrub posts on the message board who it's a placeholder for. The thing is, you'd have to wait and go in waiver order and that could take a while and could get messy.

The Fantrax rules are a lot more flexible than the FPL rules we played under in the past. I'm proposing the following as a strawman.

Active roster size: GK, DEFx4, MIDx4, FWDx3

Bench size: 5 (no position restrictions)

Scoring: As close as possible to the FPL rules we've used in the past except for the bonus points. I will post exact point structure before the draft

Captains: I can't tell if Fantrax even allows double point for captains. But I'm not a fan of it in this format

Draft: 17 round snake with the final round a scheduled free for all.

Eligibility: Anybody in the universe is eligible to be picked in the initial draft. Only players already in the Fantrax database are eligible to be claimed during the season. No clones.

Waivers: All players will be subject to waivers with rotating wire priority. Two weekly waiver runs on Thursday and Friday mornings beginning in Game Week #2. No first come/first served FAs ever.

It looks like game week 1 scoring is more or less correct. At least the goals against and clean sheet anomalies we were seeing Saturday are fixed.

Please doublecheck your team's scoring (and your opponent's if you please) and whine if you have issues.

Waivers are open. I manually set waivers priority to the reverse of the draft order. I'm hopeful everything will run properly. Fantrax admin did review my settings and said they would do what we wanted.

You have from now until Friday 3AM Eastern to submit your waiver claims

After waivers run, you have until Saturday 6:45 AM Eastern to make any free agent add/drops and finalize your starters.

The Fantrax commissioner UI is about as clear and straightforward as Financial Fair Play regulations but I was able to reverse Bonzai's transactions and set up waivers. Clint Dempsey is no longer in the database so Chris David has been substituted as a placeholder.

Bonzai: if you can't submit drops for the players I readded, let me know and I'll try something else.

It looks like waiver claims get queued now. Who knows what's going to happen come Friday AM. I took a screenshot of the claims/drops settings before I froze them after the draft because admin had reviewed them and said they were correct. I'll be damned if the option settings aren't different now.

I got a PM asking how waivers order is going to work. I honestly have no idea.

The intent is to have waivers priority carry over regardless of league standings. That's how most fantasy leagues I've been involved with have worked. For some reason, that's not an obvious setting under commissioner options.

I'll manually reset priority through the end of the August window but I'm not going to babysit this all season. If we can't get it to carry over, we need to decide whether to go in reverse order of standings or else randomize the order every week.

If you have questions on fantrax you may want to pm boubucarow. He has commished the college fb fantasy league over there for a few years so he may be a little bit more familiar with the UI. It's definitely a pain in the ### to deal with. One thing we could consider as a league maybe for next year or something is bidding for free agents, that could eliminate a lot of the headaches I think.

I don't understand why we aren't going reverse order of standings already.

I would agree here although not a big deal. I would also be in favor of reverse order of standings all year long and not rotating. Just my $.02
