FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

Pete Carroll was on NFL radio today and he said they're expecting a pretty nasty day on Saturday. Windy and 100% chance of rain.

FYI.

Am I the only one that keeps sending money to Kurt but getting bigger checks from the other books? So weird.

Coming out ahead but hate having to mail all that cash sometimes.

NO! I'm up 16 units for the month. 24 on Bovada, -8 on RB.

I know why it's not an option, but i wish I could just shmea pal him.

Bank teller: you going to do something fun with all that money?

Me: no :kicksrock:
Seriously though - it's uncanny how "unlucky" RB is. I'll tail Frosty on 5 lines and I'll shop them between Bovada and RB. I'll play 2 on RB and 3 on Bovada and go 0-2 and 3-0 respectively.

I've had a few good months there but mostly this is how it works.

First month for me...same thing (although my units are much smaller than you guys)

Hit a 4-teamer with my $10 free bet on SB last night :excited:

whew.

glad it's not just me.

I don't understand how or why this happens so consistently.

4 of Monroe's 8 games were against top 30 defenses (according to KenPom) - Kansas 18, OSU 1, LA Tech 26 and LSU 29. They put up 86, 84, and 103 against the 3 bottom defenses. They only put up 62 against Miss despite outrebounding them 45-33 whose defense isn't something to admire.

How much of them being bad is because of that and not being able to score?

I have no idea  I would lean Monroe if I could get 4. Figure James would control the glass and Olatayo 6'4" is a bigger guard that could be a tough matchup for Dowell.

I locked in Cal Poly -3 for tonight.

Jarvis Summers is actually a legit guard and probably a better defender.

The Henderson news has been out since October so it's not moving the line from -11 to -7.

Goodwin (mem) Under 10.5pts -130

Gordon (ari) Under 11.5pts -120

Adams (ucla) Under 16.5pts -120

Anderson (ucla) to out score Gordon -130

I think I'm falling in love with Quinnipiac a little bit. They're the #2 team in the country in offensive rebounding percentage, #3 in defensive rebounding percentage, and #1 in rebounding margin. They've actually been top 4 in OR% each of the last 6 years and top 10 in DR% in three of the last four. And they're terrible at everything else. And they're doing this with their top three rebounders at 6-9, 6-7, and 6-4 while three of their guards are 5-10, 5-11, and 6-1 (all play 20+ minutes) and an average height that ranks 316th in the country.

Even better - they're terrible at everything else you do when you play basketball, they will just kick your ### on the boards.

That's it, I'm adopting them. Quinnipiac +1.5 tonight (NOTE: not an official play).

The exact same fricken think for me and my local. Only site out of my 5 I have lost on Have to pay up every month while the online books I am all up a decent amount on. It's like an automatic jinx to bet on the local

Bovada has these odds posted

NHL Special - Who will win the 2014 Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s Most Valuable Player?
Other availible on request
10:05p
Sidney Crosby (PIT) 1/6
Patrick Kane (CHI) 13/4
Alex Ovechkin (WAS) 13/2
Ryan Getzlaf (ANA) 7/1
John Tavares (NYI) 18/1

NHL Special - Odds to win the Calder Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year
Other availible on request
10:05p
Nathan Mackinnon (COL) 5/2
Chris Kreider (NYR) 3/1
Hampus Lindholm (ANA) 3/1
Torey Krug (BOS) 7/2
Seth Jones (NAS) 6/1
Sean Monahan (CAL) 17/2
Valeri Nichushkin (DAL) 17/2
Jacob Trouba (WIN) 20/1

Crosby at 1/6 for MVP has no value and he should win but Kane was 1st star of the month in November and December while Ovechkin is on pace for 60+ goals. Wouldn't be a huge upset if either of those two won so there might be some value there.

For the Calder, the Hertl injury seems to have left a pretty wide open race. MacKinnon is solid with 28 points but not liking him much at that price. Kreider has 24 points in 38 games and is in the mix but 3/1 isn't great value with him either. Krug has 10 goals but it's tough for a defenseman to win this usually.

I'm drawn to Nichuskin at 17/2. He's playing with Benn and Seguin on the Stars top line and is only 6 points behind MacKinnon while also owning a very nice +13 rating. He's got 14 points in his last 18 games and is coming on pretty strong.
