FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (19 Viewers)

Is there a way I can figure out what the Giants-Royals or Giants-Orioles World Series price would be?
Yes, 5dimes did the work for you if you're looking for a quick answer

St. Louis Cardinals vs Baltimore Orioles +202

San Francisco Giants vs Baltimore Orioles +274

St. Louis Cardinals vs Kansas City Royals +289

San Francisco Giants vs Kansas City Royals +382
This is probably what you saw Raider?

Citing my above post, it looks like Chicago ML is getting pounded over Calgary and Anaheim ML over Edmonton. Anaheim and Chicago had the two most home goals at home last year. Edmonton was 6th last in away and Calgary 8th last in away. Do you hockey guys see any value in the dogs?

In one home game, Chicago scored 6 goals. Anaheim hasn't played at home. Calgary has 8 road goals in 3 games, Edmonton 5 in 2 games.
Oilers just got rolled by the Kings last night. They are a mess but Arizona isn't that great either. Arizona should win that one.

Flames are a live dog and gave Chicago all they could handle last year. They played an OT game last night, but it's early in the year so I wouldn't worry as much about rest. Flames expected to start Hiller, who has great numbers against Chicago also.

Heisman...

anyone else think Dak Prescott has a good chance to win?

My local doesn't have him listed at all.

He'll fall into the "field".

Anyone else think he'll have a shot at winning this if they win the SEC?

I've assumed he's the favorite.

5d has him priced at +175, then Mariota at +250, and Gordon at +450.

Thanks for the info. Quick question though...

If I put a wager on "field" and right now there is no odds for Prescott, would/could there be a new entry for Prescott later on and then my field wager then loses if Prescott wins later ?

I'd take a screenshot. Then you could make a case that he wasn't listed when you placed the wager and would fall under 'field'

no idea how your book would handle as I assume they all have different rules. they might just say it was a mistake and grade it as no action.

Yeah, I've been keeping up with the scores this year. I see what you mean with Hiller against Chicago, but it seems like the market would reflect that. Some shops are showing +250 for Calgary so it seems like money would pour in on them. When the win prob. increases over 3% so far on a hockey team this year, they are 7-2 +4.76u. Chicago is currently 3.1%. Thanks for the replies.

Taking a chance on some faceoff props at sportsbetting tonight.
Flames +130 over BlackhawksBruins -115 over Red Wings
Bergeron is a beast for Boston. Winning 65% this year.
Zetterberg takes the most for Detroit and he's only at 46.9% right now.

Calgary's top-4 faceoff takers are above 50% so far this year with #1 Backlund at 53.1%Chicago is tough with Toews (56.5%) but at +130 it seems worth a shot.

not sure if these are beatable but at least you don't have to sweat them.

Kelvin Benjamin scored today, guys. I wouldn't worry about Teddy B.
Benjamin may have a concussion. Missing some time wouldn't be a bad thing for Carr, Sankey, etc. so long as he still goes over 5 TD's.
Watch out for Branden Oliver imo.
ugh, that would be the sucks. Have to think that he will split carries with Mathews when he gets back, though at this point who knows when that will be. Worse thing going for Carr is that he needs to have studly stats (4 TDs, no INTs, etc.) for him to even be in the conversation. I don't know if it is the simple dismissal of the Raiders or what, but it seems like he will have to try twice as hard to get noticed and get that mainstream attention needed to win the award. Few wins will help too. Real shame they didn't win that game in New England a few weeks ago

Bortles might wind up with better stats, although he probably needs to stop throwing picks. Those guys might split votes if nobody can string some wins together.

Bortles: 1004 yards, 67.8%, 4TD/7INT

Carr: 1016 yards, 61.1%, 8TD/5INT

Probably wont help the cause if the raiders finish 2-14 and have the #1 and all the talk is they are taking Mariota or Winston.

The bottom line is you have a bet with awesome value, that's all you can ask for. Carr at +2000 or greater looks a hell of a lot better than Bortles +700, or Benjamin +1000, or Field +500. It's wide open and you have a far better payout with Carr than anyone else in the ROY conversation, good job.

yup. Really comes down to if that game against SD was a mirage, or if it is the result of coaching change and a new philosophy. Jax gets easier defenses to go against, so Carr needs to keep up a good pace.

Wow, i just looked at Oakland's remaining schedule, and it will be an uphill battle. they will need to go guns blazing, but a 1 or 2 win season is likely which will hurt quite a bit. This week @ CLE, then @ SEA, denver, @SD. After that there are some easier one's, but you also have san fran, @ KC, @ DEN.

fingers are still crossed though.

:goodposting: I needed the positive look after seeing the remaining schedule for Oakland. most is on Carr, so really hoping for him. benjamin will be ok, and most everything else would be sad puppy time

I have a season prop on Jordy Nelson to lead the league in receiving yards at 30:1. He's in the lead after week 6. Worried about Julio though.

No worries there. I think everyone is convinced Carr is the future. Not to mention there are so many other holes to fill.
if them and the Jags wind up 1 and 2, could be lots of teams trying to trade up for Mariota or Winston I guess.

Winston to Tampa?

Mariota to the Jets?

I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do with the NFL this Thursday. I am sure the line is different, but i am making my picks for our FFAWT contest (Yes!) and i see New England -9.5 vs. the jets. One, Belicheck has no qualms running up the score and beating the Jets seems to bring them pleasure. But you also have to think Ryan goes balls out in this one to beat New England and to build his team up a bit. I would think onsides kick to open the game, all kinds of stuff. i don't think the Jets can do much, but they did hang with Denver better then i thought they would, at least to start the game

Didn't they have about 2 wins the year cam won? Breaking records helped though. Hopefully the 4 TD game is a sign. Kid kept up with rivers.

By the time ESPN gets done with Winston he'll be available in the 2nd round. Don't get me started on it...i'll eat concrete right ####### now.

nuggsie, Winston could be the most talented QB ever to come out, and it wouldn't matter. After Leaf and JaMarcus, teams are scared to deaf of investing time and money into a headcase.

FWIW, I'm a diehard, albeit semi-denounced Jet fan: me and a buddy are one of 17 entries left in a 104k pot survivor pool. Happily and confidently taking NE this week. This is a beaten team and I feel like it's got 35-6 written all over it.
