FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

Federer -250 to chase?
I have it at -330, which is why I'm thinking about Del Potro, so good line for you if you like him. They are saying the heat is going to affect Del Potro, especially if it goes longer. Then again, they said the same about Clijsters, ####ers. :bag:

Seriously though, how is Woz the #1 player in the world?? Nice serve and volley game, not many unforced errors... ZERO power or put-away shots.
Complete math. She's never even won a major and I think at least Sharapova is a better tennis player. We're at a changing of the guard with womens tennis right now with the Williams sisters all but irrelevant. Going to be a mish mash of players and none of them Americans.Looked like Melanie Oudin was going to be a solid competitor after her run at the US Open last year but she has faded into obscurity.

Say what you want, RN, but we weren't that far from taking that thing. 3 points from winning the 2nd set, with a decided conditioning edge in the third, in horrible heat. Damm.

But, WE MOVE ON.

Costs $1.25 to get the 3 points now. I wonder if Vegas will come off the 3 or just continue to up the vig on the Giants?

Just took Memphis +6.5 in live betting when they were down 6 and the Griz on a roll.Of course I'll lose...
This was with about 4 minutes to go in the game. It was like betting on the Kentucky Derby in a two horse race.I Almost feel like Fiona Gallagher and returning the money, except not really feeling like doing it.

Just posted this in the shark pool, but maybe someone here knows. Right now at sportsbook both teams are -105 to get the ball at the start of the game. I know the Pats always defer. So my question is if the Giants do not always defer that makes a Giants to start the game with the ball bet a very good value.

I assume that the giants must always defer, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

The Gods did everything in their power to COMPLETELY screw me today...

u5 in the Kings game was the one last hope I had tonight. They went to the 3rd period 4-0 (one on a penalty shot ... :lmao: ), then after the inevitable goal to push early in the 3rd, the Kings pumped home a goal, which after review came 0.0000000000000002 seconds after the final horn.

WE PUSH! WE PUSH!!!

Now lets see how the Sens do tonight vs the Kings. Might have to put in a few losers here other wise we might get shut off.
Update:16-8 +10.6 UnitsI don't want to hear a peep if this turns on us now. That said we got two games tomorrow that we are VERY eager to see what the shot line is set at. We may have a rare two 4 star plays in one day. lets hope the line maker is asleep at the wheel.

Buffalo couldn't beat a college team right now, but they do get Ehrhoff back and that should be big.

Dude, this killed me, and many others here a few years ago when Pittsburgh played the Cards. All year long the Steelers deferred, so everyone and his brother bet the Cards get the ball first.Steelers won the toss, and took the ball.

Don't do it.

The Giants deferred against SF.

I got caught in that as well. At the end of the day I don't think the max bet on these things are set so high that me/thebook are going to go broke. if it's a good edge I'm taking it.

Yeah, I hear ya. It could be a good bet, but that scenario tells me that the Super Bowl is a whole different game plan, and thus -105 is really what it should be. A coin toss bet.

That was led by among many me a few years back on the AZ/Pitt game. Played a ton on AZ to get the ball first - they took the ball in all but 1 game that year and Pitt deferred every time. Of course, AZ wins toss and defers. Cost me 14% of what I bet on that game and the game didn't even start (let alone all the props I had tied to that).NE deferred every time this year. Gmen were a bit more on the split side:

SF - def

Atl - rec

NE - rec

Dallas - def

GB - rec

I think betting Giants to get ball first is a decent bet but I won't go overboard on it. I'll hope NE wins the toss.

I picked this nugget up elsewhere: Vanderbilt is 19-9 ATS with double conference revenge; Tennessee is 0-5 ATS vs. conf. foes with double revenge

Something to think about. I bet very little on hoops or hockey as I am really out of my element, but for you college hoops gurus.. thoughts?

So you're saying there's a chance? :excited:

I wish Kurts site allowed a parlay of tennis matchups. Murray laying way too much, but there's also zero percent chance he loses. Would have loved to pair it up with Azarenka in a parlay

I don't need much to jump in.That's good enough for me to play. Vandy -9

Already have NYR parlayed with the Devils and Nucks. Don't feel like laying the -240 flat with the Rangers, so let's try the u5 (+105) instead. New York doesn't score all that much, and I'd be shocked if Winnipeg got more than one past Lundqvist.
