FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (14 Viewers)

I just don't buy the conspiracy theory. Even if the refs are helping the Celts a bit, I don't think it matters. Celtics are a 1 man show right now and have less depth than even the Heat, which was the knock on the Heat.

My personal opinion is the Heat win handily. I hope I'm wrong. I want Lebron James to die in a fire of AIDS

On April Fools Day I read on some guy's message board that LaMarcus Aldridge was going in for elbow surgery.

I rushed over and put a chunk on the T-Wolves to win that night.

Aldridge played that night. And I lost.

I went and checked my source more closely and every single thread in the forum had been started by the same guy. :bag:

I now boycott sports wagering on April Fools Day.

A few weeks later LaMarcus Aldridge actually went in for hip surgery. So that guy might be some sort of modern day soothsayer.

But we will probably never know for sure. :kicksrock:

Tony Parker out for the remainder of the playoffs. :(
 You sure? This will break a lot of hearts in here....
Just messin with Lump. :D
:bag: I just put some cash on the Thunder series to beat the rush... Looks like i will be buying out of it tomorrow if the Thunder hopefully win again
:lmao:I cued it up and went to verify....couldnt find anything even hinting at it so I didnt bet it.Hilarious.I actually almost booked Thunder v Heat at +310 or something...figured the Heat are locks so I took the few free sheckles

Fixed. If you see something like this posted, seeing how the Spurs are not even playing, I might suggest verifying that information before wagering your hard earned dough on a random internet posting.. even if it is from RN!!!! Just my :2cents: I hope no one got burned by this and Modogg can buy his way out if in fact he did play the Thunder based on that post.

Oh, i did. My theory is RN is still working for Kurt and this is one of their devious plots to get some more money coming in now that my gambling has drastically slowed :tinfoilhat: Silly RN should have posted this in the afternoon where it is easier to catch Lump, rather than in the evening where he can catch the rest of us with his shrapnel. I did check to verify, but my naivety had me thinking RN wouldn't pull a move like that :kicksrock: Needless to say, I am rooting for the Thunder in the next game. I actually played the Thunder for a bit, thinking the line would move and i could hedge when needed. If the Thunder win the next one, I'll be alright since the Thunder were +235 when i hit it pretty good.

I still shouldn't have done it, even though I made sure to point out it was a joke after the first reply. Can't F around when money is involved. Mo, I'll buy you out of that bet if you want.

 And we can't root for the Thunder now too since there is a ton of money on the Spurs. Just post some winners and make sure you put an asterix for those of us who are in a rush or a little dense so we know it is a real pick :) ETA: and it would have broke my string of 3 months having to dig myself out of a hole to start the month over at betEVO. One of these days Kurt, one of these days.... :football:

Is there any easier money than betting the semi-final NBA teams that are coming home, down 2 - 0? Nope.

TB is hitting lefties better than righties this year and does very well against lefties historically. Also, I've learned to fade Maholm when he is on the road. I believe his career road record is 19-44 with an ERA well over 5. Keep plugging away buddy!

I don't know enough about baseball for anyone to tail, but I do follow some pitchers, and I really, really like SF Giants Matt Cain. He's winning, and pitches extremely well vs the Cubs, who are putting Garza out there today, who's having a tough season. Going RL here, -1.5 for +150.

Also playing Spurs ML tonight, and have a small play on the White Sox.

The cubs are just awful from head to toe. Poor hitting, sad pitching, you name it, they don't do it well. This team is capable of losing 100 this yr. MAKE MONEY ON THEM. The sox are smoking right now. Hard not to like them when facing the weaker sisters. 9 in a row though has me a little tenative. If they finish off this series with 2 more wins(getting to 11), might be time to martingale them until they lose.

Golf props @ SB has Tiger finishing position O/U 20.5. Worst finish since 2002 was 22nd. He has 4 titles at Muirfield and the fairways are wide and generous. He should githerdone. -115.Rory after 2 consecutive MC's, has a finishing position of 12.5. He vowed after last week to get better prepared mentally and on the range. Not enough for me to change my mind. -115 for the fade. And just a hunch that Justin Rose continues his hot streak. Under 20.5 @ -115
Always a great feeling when you fade a golfer and he misses the cut. Rory should fire his caddy after the blunders he made yesterday. Had no reason to try to hit that ball out of the creek. Just horrible that the caddy didn't insist he drop. He had so little to gain, and as he found out, so many strokes to lose.Tiger should cover easily and might even win this thing. The course is one that sets up well to his eyes. JUstin has some work to do but needs to make a stroke or 2 up on the field. Hoping for a good weekend from him.

Nice job RN, very entertaining read for me this afternoonGO SPURS!
Good luck bud. That's a lot of dough. Though you might want to buy back a little OKC stock. They figured out in Game 3 that Sefolosha can render Parker invisible. That's a problem. :scared:
I think the switching ball screens combined with that is huge. Not enough of a basketball officianado to know how to counteract that. I am sure Pop is on it.

If this mother ####er hits :loco: :loco:. I'll see about buying out of it in the next few days, but the Thunder winning like they did tonight should have the series line around -170 or so for the Spurs, which can probably be gentle enough to hedge comfortably.

I'm putting this in the category of your Tony Parker posting bud. Would be too funny if i listened again though and didn't hedge at all and the Spurs end up winning the next 2 to win the series. Gotta love those potential double mistakes you can make when a gift horse looks you in the face

I'm assuming you got OKC at quite an attractive price. For real.. I'd sit tight. This is anyone's series.S.A. has to be feeling the noose at least a little bit right now.

It was +265. I do have to say if it works out it will be one of the funnier things to hit this thread

For those that follow Euro soccer, I noticed a discrepancy today at Sportsbook, albeit on a longshot.

SB has Fernando Llorente at 25-1 for top scorer, while other sites I checked have him even with Fernando Torres at about 14-1 (Ladbrokes has both at 14-1 - http://sports.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/football/european-championship/euro-2012-e213878202-m222329535). I think Llorente has a good shot to be Spain's first choice striker in this tournament which, if it comes to pass, would automatically merit much lower odds than 25-1.

GoodPostingJudge recommended this to me last week. Odds haven't shifted much since then and it still seems worth a shot.
