FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

I don't know why i bet on the NBA either. I had Chalmers over 16 points plus assists, the guys had something like 10 or 11 in the 1st Q, then he magically acquires 4 fouls in this game and he hasn't moved much from there :sadbanana:

OK - who bought a dime of Heat +1800 when they were down 18?
ouch. Great play. Awful beat!ETA: I think the key to playing this NBA favorites streak thing is to look for good value on the favorite on the in-game lines. An outstanding example here. Anything over +400 or so is great value.

Tennis tomorrow. These dogs are worth a half unit IMO:

(yes I have a future on Djoker, but I think I'm coming over the top on this one):

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga +430 over DJOKER

Juan Martin Del Potro +240 over FEDERER

You can call me crazy but I'm just going to toss a few pennies on these. If there was a time for either of these upsets to happen, this is it. I didn't expect Djoker to look like he did in the 4th round and I love me some Jo-Wili.

Tony Parker out for the remainder of the playoffs. :(
jagoff hilarious move here bud
Fixed. If you see something like this posted, seeing how the Spurs are not even playing, I might suggest verifying that information before wagering your hard earned dough on a random internet posting.. even if it is from RN!!!! Just my :2cents: I hope no one got burned by this and Modogg can buy his way out if in fact he did play the Thunder based on that post.
I still shouldn't have done it, even though I made sure to point out it was a joke after the first reply. Can't F around when money is involved. Mo, I'll buy you out of that bet if you want.
If this mother ####er hits :loco: :loco:. I'll see about buying out of it in the next few days, but the Thunder winning like they did tonight should have the series line around -170 or so for the Spurs, which can probably be gentle enough to hedge comfortably.
 Don't hedge! The Thunder are in the Spurs' heads now.

And I want a cut!!! :banned:
I'm putting this in the category of your Tony Parker posting bud. Would be too funny if i listened again though and didn't hedge at all and the Spurs end up winning the next 2 to win the series. Gotta love those potential double mistakes you can make when a gift horse looks you in the face
I'm assuming you got OKC at quite an attractive price. For real.. I'd sit tight. This is anyone's series.S.A. has to be feeling the noose at least a little bit right now.
It was +265. I do have to say if it works out it will be one of the funnier things to hit this thread

You silly rascal, you had this planned the whole time, didn't you? I stared at the Spurs line for about 10 minutes this afternoon ready to buy out of it, and eventually just said F it and let the Thunder future ride. 90% of the time i get burned doing that....And mother ####### Stephen Jackson, way to hit that 3 at the end and F up my Thunder 2nd half bet. Mother F'er, that wasn't going to win you the game deuche...ETA: hah, they didn't count the 3. Time to stop over at covers and check out the broken hearts

That 3 was waived off... winner winner chicken dinner.

Tough beat for the Spurs 2nd half guys, and people who took the over. I didn't even look at the o/u, but i guess it was 213.5, and that 3 was the difference between making it or not.

For you night owls.... I got a 3 unit to win 1 unit bet on 1 ichiro hit. It looks like he might get at least 6 AB in this game, but right now he is 0-4.

OKC is probably raising a championship banner this year.

Hop on the OKC train. Get that bad taste out of your mouth.

What's the series price going to be for the Thunder tomorrow? Any guesses?

I'm a hoops tard: if (huge if still) OKC advances do they match up strong vs Miami and Boston both? Imagine better vs Boston? What would either series price at?

OKC is favored in either matchup, and they'd certainly rather face a fossilized Boston squad.

BOS (unlikely) vs OKC (looking decent) would be a perfect world for me being a BOS native and having a nice hunk of OKC to win it all

I'll be real interested in what the futures look like. I bought myself a small chunk of OKC Title at 4-1 and Durant Title MVP 8-1 when they were down 2-1.

Whatever they are, i am pretty sure you can bet the lines will move quickly when they are put out because there will be a lot of people running to get out of Spurs bets. They come out around 11:00 EST on some books, i may have to take a half-day or something to get out of my Spurs to win the Championship bets

I'm pulling for you bud, but it will be a tough one. Not much to say with the Mariners having 10 hits, just a tough break ichiro didn't get one of them, and you try again tomorrow. Betting baseball can be brutal sometimes.ETA: i don't know the Mariners are screwing this up a bit, could get extra innings possibly out of it.

Lumpy, for those of us sweating your Spurs bets, did you buy any back on OKC yet?

You really think so? Reason why I ask is Bron is +125 for MVP and Durant is +300 Wade and Westbrook are both +800. That kind of tells me the Heat wil be favored, and not slightly.

No. Odds Boston Celtics+1200

Miami Heat+140

Oklahoma City Thunder+125

San Antonio Spurs+450

What that tells you is there is little to no chance that anyone but LeBron will win it IF the heat take the title, whereas OKC have more guys who are legit candidates diluting the odds.

Plus that also tells you there is a ####load of cash on Lebron already or coming in.

Not a lot I really like tonight in MLB.

COL/AZ O 9.5 -115

Tor +100

DET TT O4.5 -120

My plays went 4 of 5 and then 2 of 3 without writeups so I'll go without writeups this evening and see how that works.

I think the opposite is true though...I can certainly see D Wade winning the MVP if the Heat win...

I cant see anyone but Durant winning the MVP if the Thunder win....only one with a sniff is Westbrook and that isnt even close.
