FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (9 Viewers)

Damnit, NIU Kicker was much funnier when he randomly popped in with a one liner and then left. Now it's ruined! Go away and then come back next year, I'll forget this by then. Your best line last night was "Hello boys..."

Sorry to anyone who tailed that UNC/UVa over.

UVa stopped twice inside the 5 of UNC, zero points. I would take the over every time in that game, no reason that should not have cashed. College football is a strange animal that way.

Don't forget that amazing drop on the deep ball.No reason for that game to be under, completely agree.

College games were meant to be under. I wouldn't have it any other way

Hawaii, the worst team in the NCAA, on the road in 36 degree weather in slightly windy conditions.

The bet sounds square, but laying the 22 here I just love. I think Air force Kills them just like Fresno and Nevada did.

Already on this one, I think it's a solid handicap

 Lets do this.I got Ref Units and GooRoo units.Ref units are 1/3 a GooRoo unit. This one is getting to get at least 1.66 GooRoo units. This is not to be confused with a Lhucks Unit. A Lhucks Unit is 1/100 of a Ref Unit.

Another thing about the Hawaii/Air Force game is it will be played a mile high, something Hawaii probably won't enjoy. Air Force is not as good as they have been in past years but they still do fundamental things right and Hawaii is 106th in rushing defense.

I got it at 23.5 and thought the line might go the other way.

Tomorrow:

Navy -13.5 Texas State's rushing defense is tragic

N'Western +7.5 If the Cats get a FG they should cover this

USC -3.5 Seems like this line was based on rankings and not play on the field. Seems like USC will win by 14+

Baylor +12.5 Gonna try to fade K-State for the second straight week. Baylor gets a garbage TD to cover IMO

Rutgers +6.5 Don't know a ton about these teams but Rutgers seems like a solid squad and on paper these teams look about even. So we are giving Rutgers six and a hook? I'll take it

Have some other leans, will check what others are playing in hopes one of those leans is something someone else likes. gllllllllll

DD-->

I'm not going to try to sell Cincy as a great team or even better than Rutgers, but it has been since at least 2010 since anyone came that close to winning at Nippert Stadium and most of the games have been complete bloodbaths. It really is a different team in that stadium. As a fan, I know I would assume a loss to Rutgers if it were away or probably even at PBS, but as it stands I'm not too worried.

I played Cincy a few days ago. My rankings had them as a 10 point favorite.

CBB

Princeton -3 1/2

2012 CBB

7-4 +1.65 units

Again, all bets are 1/2 regular unit unless otherwise specified, such as last nights Illinois St. 5 star play of the year :)

Its a boatload of pts, but how could you put any money on HI at this time? Have they got any of their injured DL's back? If not, they are going to run for 350-500 on them.

From radio...

Colin Cowherd's Blazing 5: Bucs -1.5, Saints -4.5, Browns +8, Lions +3.5, Steelers +3.5

Sharps disagree with him on Bucs and Saints. They love Steelers and Browns. Slight agreement on Lions.

Maybe that's why it isn't three then. I think that was probably figured into the line it seems if Cincy is so good at home. Fade accordingly...

The Sharps playing the Raiders all make sense until they lose by 20

:football: raiders my biggest bet of the week, got +6 at open sunday night and added more at +5RAIDER NATION!!!

I'm fading Houston without Charles Sims again this week and putting my money on Rakeem Cato against Houston's 112th ranked passing defense.

Rakeem CatoSPLITS CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RATSeason 343 494 3506 69.4 7.10 72 29 8 20 145.2
University of Houston running back Charles Sims did not practice Wednesday and is "very, very doubtful" for Saturday's game at Marshall, coach Tony Levine said. link
MARSHALL -3½ -110330/300

ETA: The [Houston Cougars] took a huge blow both on and off the field when star cornerback D.J. Hayden suffered a near fatal injury after colliding with a teammate in practice. The injury required immediate surgery and Hayden will miss the rest of the season. He was leading the league with four interceptions, two of which he returned for six points. link

I'm not a huge fan of putting Carolina +7 in my teasers. Getting the Ravens +9.5 on Monday afternoon sure does seem nice right now though.

Nice cross selection of dogs/favs here. One thing about the Rutgers/Cinci mathup that i don't like, Rutgers opponents.....most of them had down years for their programs. Its not Rutgers fault, just the way it shook out. Cinci's SOS wasn't much better imo. Northwestern have been ATS monsters and i thought this would be a tighter spread. Venric Mark and Kain Colter both banged up but probable at this point. The only reason i can think of for the spread moving against NW.Baylor covered against OK last week and was in the game the whole time. The one game i didn't like that i saw was the pasting TCU gave them at home. Makes me a little uncertain to lay any significant amount but i like it. And I always like betting against TExas ST.

Yeah, I have them at +5.5. Saints coming off a big win and the Raiders will be able to score. I'm really curious how often NFL dogs opening between +3.5-6.5 cover and win outright. Sharps love those plays and they seem to beg the public to take the team they think is better since its less than a TD. I know Cincy won last week in that range, but Carolina lost (though Denver had 2 return TDs)

I think I like KC +3.5 and Philly +3.5 also

The Eagles are dead to me for the rest of the year. They are also on the road with Foles this week and Washington is coming off a bye.

KC is already down to +3 some places. The Bengals are also coming off a big win against the Giants so may throw down on +3.5 now.
