FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (6 Viewers)

Thanks to GooRoo for posting the Ill-Chi play, it's a good one

2u Ill-Chi +10.5

2u TCU +20.5

2u Fresno St -7

2u So. Utah -4

1u Idaho -5

Thanks...at the bar. Pissed that I missed that!!! It's a guaranteed winner since I didn't get it.
WINNING!Flames had a late run to seal it.
Thanks for rubbing it in on what's been a crappy day so far. I will drink one for you!
oops, I didn't read that part correctly. I'll make it up to you: Packers -2.5 tomorrow

Since when did sportsbook only take visa?

eta: nevermind, haven't had to make a deposit in a while.

I'm kind of shocked the line is still moving higher. Pitt 3 even will be available tomorrow I think.
Didn't you hear that GB won already? It was FREE MONEY.
Don't worry bud, there are a lot of us wishing our teams were even in the game. Honestly, you should be a little concerned about what your boy Big Ben will do if they win. Mike Vick is a dreg of society, but at least we don't have to worry about him going out and fighting dogs again. you guys on the other hand... I would like to find the odds on if Big Ben will get into shennanigans again during the off-season

A couple I like at SB:

Total pass attempt Rodgers -3.5 (-135)

Total kick returns over 9 (+115)

Total player with pass attempt over 2.5 (+180), someone will have a trick play

Sunday hockey:

Pens/Caps under 5.5 (-115)

Pens trend under and with no Crosby or Malkin, they are playing a playoff style defense and goaltending hockey. Caps are going to be a second half over play but they have trouble at times on their PP while Pittsburgh is the stingiest team in the NHL on the PK. I see this as a 3-2 game decided in OT.

Some interesting prop stuff I just heard on FSR. Forgive me if you know this already.

44 Super Bowl coin tosses -- heads 22 times, tails 22 times.

The NFC has won the coin toss 13 straight times; the odds against that are more than 8,000:1.

Christina Aguilera has six different National Anthems on YouTube. The longest one is 1:54, and that is the over/under.

The one big prop the "Vegas wise guys" are hammering is Heath Miller's receiving yardage to go over.

There has been no 1Q TD in seven of the last nine Super Bowls.

YES to overtime is +800. True value is about +1900.

I can't sleep. :kicksrock:

Say it ain't so, mo! No need to find a book, I will bet you $100 that Ben doesn't do anything wrong during the offseason.

I am almost tempted to play U 1:57 at + odds. I'm also tempted to play that she will wear a cowboy hat at +250  I know one wiseguy who is hitting the under on Heath. I'm hoping for a 39.5 to 45.5 middle. And while I am getting my dumb props out of the way, I played:Obama picks Steelers (-140)Aikman/Buck says "Big Ben" in 1st Half (-265)Rodgers puts on the belt (+160)Player celebrates TD with jump into crowd (-110)MVP Thanks God First (+175)MVP Thanks Teammates First (+200) :hot:

Got a buddy in Vegas to throw down on GB for me for action. My squares this year in the pools could not suck any worse. I did hit a 5/3 square one time so anything is possible.

I love Rogers -3.5 and expect a Randell El pass, and maybe even Flynn to come in after Rogers gets his 3rd concussion of the year, but over 9 kick returns could be tough if it's a tight defensive game. Good luck.

I know from first hand (losing) experience that the Steelers won the coin toss three years ago against The Cardinals, so that is incorrect. I don't know about the rest.

Lots of inviting props today, here are a few I'm rolling with:

M. Crosby over 7.5 pts (even)

J. Jones over 3 rec (-120) -- should be a push worst case here

B. Jackson over 1.5 rec (-130) -- might be closest thing to a lock today, he'll be in there a lot picking up blitzes

ST/D TD (+135)

Shortest TD under 1.5 yds (-125)

GB 39 pts (100-1)

GB 36 pts (100-1)

GB 22 pts (75-1)

GB 15 pts (300-1)

PIT 22 pts (75-1)

PIT 18 pts (75-1)

PIT 15 pts (100-1)

PIT 11 pts (200-1)

Anthem: this one's gonna be close, but I'm tempted to hit the over on 1:54.

Lambeau Leap: Longshot. Only if it's the right odds, there are additional factors complicating an easy jump.

Halftime show: Lots of props, none really looking good right now. Don't think Fergie's doing more than one outfit, and what she will have on will probably show a lot of leg.

Lots of question marks this year, nothing as sure as it's been in the past. Casinos might clean up this year on the silly props.

And while I am getting my dumb props out of the way, I played:

Obama picks Steelers (-140)

Aikman/Buck says "Big Ben" in 1st Half (-265)

Rodgers puts on the belt (+160)

Player celebrates TD with jump into crowd (-110)

MVP Thanks God First (+175)

MVP Thanks Teammates First (+200)
Wow, that is free  ... they both love to knob players.

Is that on sportsbook? I can 't find it.
It's at 5Dimes...unfortunately, it got pounded up to -430 this morning. I should have hit it earlier in the week when it was under -200.

:goodposting: That's what I was thinking all week...what if they avoid saying it completely for the first time ever. So I held off on playing it for a while.

I don't bet on anything where one guy controls the outcome, he has no skin in the game, and nobody will investigate whether he takes money not to say it. If the books stand to lose a million bucks if he says big ben, then I don't care what the odds are, I'm not taking them.

just took a look and it is -650. had to take no at +420, hoping we get to hear RN's "Large Ben". would be great if one of these guys was a gambler and did it on purpose

Just a little reality check....most of these props have $500 to $1k limits.....maybe in vegas MAYBE you could find a book that would let you throw 5k down MAYBE but i doubt it. I've seen this sentiment alot, it's not that easy to get big money down on anything other than the spread.

:hot:I wouldn't touch this bet. Books set to make too much money by having Buck/Aikman not say it, and too easy for the books to pay them off.

That is positively ridiculous. Go check how much Buck and Aikman make.

The thing is, the max bet on props like these is usually very low.

I'm far from a experienced gambler, but these 2 bets look to have some good value:

Player to score first in the game will have Odd Number Jersey +250

Player to score last in the game will have Odd Number Jersey +250

Here's a list of players with odd number jerseys in this game: Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Andrew Quarless, Tom Crabtree, Ben Roethlisberger, Mike Wallace, Heath Miller, Matt Spaeth, Mewelde Moore, Isaac Redman

Granted, both kickers have an even number jersey, but I think that's a bit more likely to come into effect for the player to score last in the game, which is why I'm looking more seriously at the player to score first in the game bet.

Is there a sportscaster database somewhere, otherwise a quick google search turned up no serious answers.

Thank you...bostonfred's post is anything but a good posting, it's very uninformed

It was rhetorical. They make too much money and probably like their job too much to take a backroom meeting with a casino owner who will instruct them not to utter the words "BIG BEN" in the 1st half because they may lose several $500 wagers.
