OK men - here she is. Under 26.5 shots on the Devils line. We are going with a three star play on this. Yes 26.5 is low, but the Islanders played at NJ twice so far this year and have put on 15 and 14 shots. In the last 6 home games for NJ the shot toals have been 12, 20, 15, 21, 26 and 16.Good luck everyone. Hopefully this comes in and we will try and push our luck for a few more games
Blah...... 13 shots in the third 8 in the last 10 minutes. AND they had 4 minute penalty kill. It's time to call it the season. Sorry everyone. We will pick it up again next year about a month into the season.

Thanks for the picks all season ref!

Is there anybody NOT on Kentucky and VCU? Both games seem sweet.
Thursday PM: Alabama ML (+105) vs Wichita State at Madison Square Garden, NYC. Finish out a profitable NIT.I don't know what to make of Kentucky/Alabama, but I'm now absolutely convinced Butler is going to be the next National Champion. I'm heavily vested in the Bulldogs over VCU, at least. Probably won't go too heavy on the Champ Game if those both hit, but if it's Butler/UConn, I'll probably go a little heavier. From a probability standpoint, much of the last few rounds has been absolutely cockeyed, and the UConn run is the most improbable thing I've ever seen, and if they were to advance past Kentucky to play Butler, I'd be pretty comfortable playing the percentages that they'd finally be on the wrong end of a cover. Those bastards.

Thinking about opening an account at another book. I have accounts at sportsbook and sportsbetting. I hear 5 dimes is a good site for baseball. True? How are they as far as depositing and withdrawals? What about signup bonuses? TIA.

I deposited with Moneygram and it was easy...they covered my fees...I think you pay about 30 bucks for a check, but it got to me in about 2 days...no hassles. They have some signup bonuses, but I always do the reduced juice option...it pays for itself in the long run.Overall, I think they are widely considered the best book on the net. They are good for baseball too....tons of options.GL

Pretty much any VISA card will work on 5dimes. It's what I use for my go-to.

Yeah, I tried using MoneyGram, but had some issues. I'm going to use my CC once I get my laptop back (long story) since they require copies of the card and photo ID when you make a deposit. Thanks for the replies guys.

How are the props at sportsbetting? Is the max still $100 and do they offer a good amount of them (in all sports).

The limit on props is $150 and they stink for the most part. Most are player vs. player. They do post some bad lines occasionally though. I'll copy and paste today's player props. Hopefully it formats well and you can read it.03/31/2011 101 MLB Player Props

I like Cleveland / Carmona tomorrow.

Sox play like #### early in the year. they are @ Cleveland and are #####ing about the conditions.

Been hanging in the baseball forum but here are my futures for team totals. No sense in posting player futures at this point but I played A LOT. And that should take most of my attention until football in 2014, so I doubt I'll be real active...

In order of preference:

Phillies UNDER 96 1/2

Giants UNDER 88 1/2

Rockies OVER 86.

Cubs OVER 81 1/2

I'm on my phone and can't really tell, but it looks like Sportsbook canceled a Cam Newton draft prop (will he be a top three pick). If that's the case, what is going to be their excuse?

Went 1-1 yesterday (0 units) with Braves ML and Braves/Nats Over 8.5.

Today I am playing

Cle/CWS Under 8 - cold weather, Carmona has good numbers against Chicago and throws a heavy sinker (heavy sinker in cold weather is like hitting a rock). Not a big Buehrle guy, but the Indians lineup doesn't scare me with the Cabrera boys and Jack Hanrahan.

Baltimore +165 - Like this Baltimore team this year. Lot of RH Bats (Lee, Hardy, Reynolds, Jones, Roberts, Wieters, Vlad) to throw at Price. Tampa lost their best player and the best HR hitter. Guthrie was good last year and hopefully he can start it off on the right foot this year. Worth the value.

LEAN

Dodgers -120 - dodgers lineup looked ok last night vs Timmy. Matt Kemp drew 3 walks, are ya kidding me? Sanchez fell apart in the playoffs last year and can have control problems at times. I see a big year for Billingsley.

Good luck to all.

I had done a fairly long write up and then had a technical issue :wall:

I am on the following:

AZ +170: I think AZ with that lineup and Kennedy pitching are undervalued here;

O7 NYM@FLA: Neither starter is going to go very deep into this game;

U8 CWS@CLE: It is cold and there will be shadows. Also, CLE is offensively challenged.

(14 - 0 in the 4th - ug.. should have just played the CLE Under.. live and learn)

I received a very fast payout from Sportsbook this week - put my request in on Monday and received the fedex package today. Just noting as there was some concern regarding sportsbook's payments expressed in this thread a few weeks ago. Of course, this was a very small amount compared to the high rollers up in here ...

That was me - it took a few weeks to get paid out. Glad to report then other then the wait time it went well.

I've got a wire pending still from Monday. for whatever, wire transfers seem to be much slower these days. Guess back to old fashioned check.

I'm fully erect now that baseball is back.

The crack of the bat, diving catches, popcorn, beer and pretty girls in the stands.

And Vin Scully calling his 9 millionth Dodgers game right now. Life is good. Summer is near.

3u play on UCONN +2.5 tomorrow but it's not because I think they'll win, it's because I win almost 7u if UK wins from my pool. Obviously hoping for UK to win by two or less, but I win regardless here so I'm already happy. :banned:

VCU has been better to me than any team in NCAA hoops betting history but I'm still trying to feel this one out. I think VCU can definitely win this game, but Butler is probably going to play a perfect game and that's hard to bet against. I think VCU is actually the better team, but they won't win a close game and I can see them getting rattled if they are throwing up bricks from beyond the arc. Not much for Butler ML (-150) so I'm gonna wait to see what others think and then go from there. I'll gladly play the total there instead of someone has a strong lean.

Bunch o hockey tomorrow too, start the day with Bruins/Thrashers U5.5 if Thomas is starting for the B's and continue with the Wings rebounding to lock up the central.

Bout to head out and pretty sure I won't end up back here by gametime so...my plays are BUTLER and UCONN. It's almost like UCONN still hasn't convinced people. That's nuts. And that Kentucky's last couple are being overrated or what many are focused on. We know that's not the best way handicap the tourney. I'll take the best player in the tourney in a tossup.

And I have to go against my DOG MADNESS theme, finally, which has been gold. BUTLER BABY! At this point, gotta take who I simply like too much to otherwise stick with a strategy. And chances are, line won't matter anyway. They are just too tried and tested. This week is a whole 'other level for VCU and they've had plenty of time to think about it. Regardless, I really hope the winner of this one takes it all, that'd be awesome.
