Morning, gents. Happy New Year.

Adding DET TT o24

Lump- Just outta curiosity, why no KC in your teaser legs? Figured with the low total, they'd be in there.

KC is a teaser leg now....I was on the fence and decided to just play KC straight up but now with the entire board at 2.5 I'm going to add it

I love KC today plus the points. Their defense has played really, really well lately and Denver's defense has seemed to be moving in the opposite direction the last two weeks. I know the game means everything for Denver and essentially nothing to KC, but I'm sure Kyle Orton would like to stick it to his old team as well. KC +3

Today I ask the football gods for one Andre Johnson TD and for Vernon Davis to not have two or more TD. If these two happen I'll have a full 20 unit sweep of my NFL player props.

Is there a comprehensive article somewhere detailing which NFL teams are "motivated" to play this week?Week 17's can often be a goldmine if you find the inspired team vs. the team that already has the bus started.
http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/50960/nfl-playoff-scenarios-3
Early Games:Redskins @ Eagles - no Playoff implications...49'ers @ Rams - 49'ers need this W to secure the #2 Seed/Bye...Bears @ Vikings - no Playoff implications...Lions @ Packers - Lions should be motivated; they are currently the #5 Seed, and losing would put them at # 6. Given the likelyhood of the 49'ers beating the Rams straight up, the #6 Seed will have to travel to New Orleans and then to Green Bay to get to the Conference finals. Green Bay has sewn up HFA, and has nothing to play for, since they're not playing for a perfect season any more...Panthers @ Saints - Saints need the Niners to lose to get the #2 Seed, so they'll be watching the scoreboard. There's motivation to keep Brees in for a while, since Brady is still within striking distance of the record. Payton has said they are going to play with the intent to win, but if the 49'ers get way up on the Rams, it would make sense to rest his guys...Titans @ Texans - Titans need a WORLD of help to get into the playoffs, but nothing will help them if they don't win. Meanwhile, Texans are already in, but have lost two straight, and no sane coach would want their team to go into the playoffs on a 3 game slide, so it makes sense that the Texans would play hard here. Plus, the Texans are at home, and getting points. I'm considering pounding this, for reasons I'll explain when I write up my picks this week...Colts @ Jaguars - nothing to see here...Jets @ Dolphins - Jets need as much or more help than the Titans to get into the Playoffs, but have to win to have any help. No Reggie Bush for the Dolphins...Bills @ Patriots - Pats win seals HFA, Brady is chasing Brees for the record, and Belichick is like an elephant, meaning that they've got an absolutely mangled Bills team on the road, and have a chance to avenge an early-season road loss in front of their fans. He's like that - he doesn't forget.Late Games:Buccaneers @ Falcons - Falcons will already know their situation, due to Detroit playing earlier, but after getting pounded by the Saints, they have a creampuff game to get themselves ready for a tough playoff run...Ravens @ Bengals - Bengals W gets them into the Playoffs. Ravens win gets them #2 Seed and Bye. If Patriots lose early, Ravens win gets them HFA...Steelers @ Browns - Steelers are the #3 Seed. If NE loses they will have a shot at HFA. Will be watching the scoreboard of the Ravens game. Steelers win, Ravens lose, then Steelers get #2 Seed and Bye. Interesting that both Ravens and Steelers are on the road.Chargers @ Raiders - Raiders need this one. Chargers were eliminated last week, but this is a heated rivalry, probably a decent consolation prize for the Chargers to knock the Raiders out of the Playoffs...Chiefs @ Broncos - Broncos and Raiders watching each other on the scoreboard. Difference is that Raiders can qualify as Division Winner or WC, Denver can only get in if it wins the Division. The Chiefs are out, but again, they have the opportunity to knock a division rival out of the Playoffs...and they are REALLY rallying behind Romeo Crennel, and may be motivated to play to give him a better chance of becoming the new Head Coach...Seahawks @ Cardinals - no Playoff implications...Cowboys @ Giants - win you go on, lose you go home, for both...looks like a great opportunity for an OVER (47)...

This is my recollection of how the last week of the nfl goes. Teams that have everything to play for underperform or play too tight. Maybe its just me. I like the minny play in college hoops and I'll throw in Illinois st. -4 over SIU.

Early NFL Leans:CowboysCowboys/Giants OVERTexansChiefsChargers/Raiders OVERGood Luck!!!
For the record, I played the Texans straight, as well as straight plays on everything I leaned here.Moving VERY slow this AM, was hoping to analyze and post earlier, but my brain was mush until about 12:30 or so...played one knee jerk 3-Team 7 Point Teaser just before the 1PM kickoffs, that I'm probably going to regret...Niners -5.5, Saints P'ckm, Patriots -3Working on late game write ups now...

Any thoughts on Bal/Cin? Already have Cincy in a few teasers. Thinking of taking them on the ML. They played the Ravens pretty tough in Baltimore and Baltimore has not been great on the road. Pretty huge game for both teams.

:coffee:Been starting at this Penn St/Houston game for 3 days here knowing there's an angle but not finding it.
Tom Bradley press conference around 30 minutes ago making it official that Matt McGloin failed to pass latest concussion test and is OUT for tomorrow's Bowl Game vs Houston...Rob Bolden QB'ing...McGloin more of a typical drop back passer, Bolden is a more versatile, but not as accurate. No other significant injuries for PSU - DL Devon Still is full go, which is a pretty big boost for the Defense...I don't have a lean here or anything, just passing on info.

This Patriots debacle is giving the Ravens a chance to be playing this game for the #1 Overall Seed / Home Field Advantage for the AFC Playoffs......Bengals are in a 'win, you're in" scenario...I'm almost certain that should the Bengals win and get in, they can do no better than the #6 Seed, which means they'd travel to Houston, which is winnable...and then, if the Pats wind up losing, they'd have to travel to #1 Seed Baltimore, where they'd be playing the Ravens for the 3rd time this Season, and yes, these two play each other tough......by no means am I saying the Ravens are thinking about it this deeply, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving a tough Divisional Rival the boot, which also eliminates facing them down the road.....nothing more than speculation...

The wind is ridiculous here in Cincy today. I lost power momentarily this morning because of it. Passing is going to be tricky, so it'll likely come down to good ol AFC North football - running and D. I'd love for the Bengals to win, but I think BAL is probably the play here

Update:

Patriots come back from down 21 to take a 28-21 lead. Ravens still need to win to secure #2 Seed and 1st Round Bye, because Ravens loss and Steelers W = Steelers #2, Ravens #3...I forgot about this earlier, but should the Ravens lose to the Bengals today, the Steelers win, Ravens would be the #3 Seed, they would re-play the Bengals in Baltimore next week...so Ravens motivated no matter what. Bengals motivated too...

San Francisco now creaming the Rams by 17, looking more and more likely that the 49'ers secure the #2 Seed and bye in NFC, meaning Saints will be #3 Seed. IF the Lions continue to lose to the Packers, Atlanta is playing to move up from #6 and having to travel to New Orleans, to #5 and having to travel to either Dallas or New York, which is theoretically an 'easier' road...

Adding Chiefs to late teaser legs. Lions get a a fairly easy TT cover, I need all the wins I can get today.

Lions back on top in Green Bay...

Damn it, I'm playing the Ravens -3, and I'm going to hedge them with a Teaser Leg...I know the Ravens struggle on the road, especially vs decent Teams, but I think this is the kind of situation where the emotional leaders on the team rise above that and get the job done. Plus the weather ought to bring running and defense to the forefront, and I think the Ravens are just better enough than a decent Bengals team to win a close one decided by a FG...

...considering teasing with Falcons and/or Steelers among other things...

As listed above, already on Chiefs and the Chargers/Raiders Over...

Fired in 2 10u 3 team teasers for tomorrow... and I'm not drunk yet. :scared:atlanta -1San Fran -1/2NE PK
Did the same except I got ATL at -.5.Also did this one:Atl -.5NE PkRams +20.5 (SF will win but I don't think they are interested in blowing them out.)
:hifive: GL
 Thought I was screwed after SF scored but STL saved the day (unless STL finds a way to steal the game with 4 minutes left).Locked in a 10u win by taking the Bucs ML to hedge.
