FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

So amongst my friends and I the Saturday of the tournament is known as "Over Saturday" where you just blindly bet every over. This happened because one year 7 of the 8 overs hit, so we now do it every year. Win some, lose some, we've never had a 7 of 8 year again but also have never had a 1 of 8 year either. It's stupid and not smart gambling, but it's fun as hell. Join me, won't you?

Why not!

4-6 today with Air Force still yet to play. Ouch.

Puts me at 11-8 so far.

3/20 picks:

NCAA

Win James Madison +1 (was +2) (not strong)

NIT

Win Stony Brook +4 (was +4.5) (strong)

Loss Detroit +4

Loss Southern Miss -11.5 (now better this as the line dropped, it was -14)) (if the line drops to -13.5. I show it at -14 now.. and this would not be a strong pick)

CBI

Win Richmond -4.5 (was -5.5) (strong)

Wright St -6.5 no longer betting this game (was -5.5) (not strong... actually if the line moves to -6, I'm out)

Loss North Dakota St pk (was +1) (strong)

Loss Texas -3 (was -2.5)

Purdue -12 (was -1) no longer betting this game (strong)

CIT

Win Canisius -6 (was -7)

Loss UW Green Bay -1 (was pk) (strong)

Loss Northern Iowa -16 (was -15.5)

Air Force +2.5 (was -1) (strong)

Editing to update the lines... No longer betting Purdue and Wright State. But I am bettering Southern Miss now.

Under in the Blackhawks game just got moosed with under 20 seconds to go.

ETA: I checked the score and it was 3-2 with 20 secs to go and I had to take a dump. So I was like uhh should I stay and watch it... And I was like no I'm good. Only to come back to a 4-2 final. What a crappy way to end the night. But hey March Madness starts tomorrow!,!

:lmao: at both. didnt catch DD's the first time.
Problem was when we'd get back to the hotel each night there were 15-20 scantily dressed African women, fully browned and delicious.
Two great stories.Just to blab on for a moment...A Top 10 moment for Me in here was the nc state Maryland game two seasons ago. The one where most of us laid the 14 only to go into halftime down 35-7 only for NC St to go on a 50-0 run in the 2H.

That was my play that day and a bunch of people tailed. I felt horrible and then felt like I had won the Stanley Cup in OT on a backhanded roof shot about 2 hours later. :banned:

Absolutely. Was that really two years ago??? Holy Hell, time flies.

I'm betting the Under in all round 1 games.
food for thought
Not relevant to OVER SATURDAY. It's a thing.
my theory is that all these teams are playing in unfamiliar arenas in the first round. By Saturday, they will have already played a game there so should adjust. Boom! Overs!
Exactly. Plus who doesn't love circus ball? I miss Washington.

Start reading Wow, sorry about NC State. This is what happens when you use you common sense and strategy with 6-5 teams.

'>here. Got pretty entertaining with the comments and then the rebound. You guys were telling me it was gonna be ok, we all had given up. Then....

BTW, the QB who led that NC State comeback (Mike Glennon) is gonna be an absolute stud. I think he goes higher than anyone anticipates next month, and he'll be the best QB in this draft class. He just needs to learn to throw the ball away instead of forcing things.

Heh, it was fun to relive those two pages again.

So good to be in Vegas, love being able to hop on some halftime lines (yeah, that's right Purdue).

Had a great night, but it wasn't without it's misses. Cal Poly down 43-18 at halftime with a -1 halftime line seemed like the right play at the time. Ugh. Held Boise in a ML and Parlay, but Boise looked terrible enough to run up LaSalle at halftime +2.5. Got out of that one ok.

Found Richmond at 4.5 at Paris when everyone else seemed to be stuck on 5 or 5.5. Love when I can pull one of those out. Just saw my 8.5 UC Irvine snuck through too.

Currently holding

Butler -2 1H

Montana +7 1H

Montana +7 1H / Pittsburgh -2.5 1H Parlay

Montana +14

South Dakota State +12

VCU -7

VCU -7 / Minnesota -2.5 Parlay

Michigan State -10

Georgetown -13

North Carolina -4

Florida over 140

Okla St -3 (not looking so hot now)

St. Louis -9

Illinois -1.5

Going to add a few more plays tomorrow since today went so well. Especially looking to add Belmont and Wisconsin if I can catch the right number. WI is always tough, because their fans bid them up like crazy. Rud has me thinking about some unders in the first round. Like the logic there.

Vegas baby!

Can't wait to see that that LaSalle / K State line is going to be. LaSalle shot the lights out tonight. If they lay the line thinking they'll play like that against KSU, big buying opportunity.

Pitt/Wichita under 119

Memphis -1

Once Bovada pulls their head out of their asses and posts moneyline's I'll most likely be on :

Bucknell

Davidson

Oregon

Liking Memphis as wellI actually have butler going deep but like the Davidson ML play although wish I was getting more than +155Also like Colorado St +130 and Belmont +180

Everyone who keeps complaining about not getting a good price on Davidson ML...wouldnt that imply that betting Marquette is the right play?

It's just bugging me since the other 14 seeds are all +400 or more so I feel like it should be higher, but take the seeding away and I guess it makes sense...not sure how hard I want to hit it either

Some 'big day' yesterday...I lost 3.5u! Some real snake-biters in there, too.

Woke up with no gut feelings about today's games. I have wagers I put in on Sunday on Oregon and VCU, but so far I've got nothing else I feel strongly enough about to invest in.

Early 8:

I don't like laying over 10 with Michigan, but don't want to back Valpo.

Butler/Bucknell could be the best game of the 1st Round. Should go down to the wire and go either way.

I really, REALLY want to bet Pitt, but I can't pull the trigger for some reason. Someone convince me.

Not used to seeing the Billikens as a high seed and big favorite, don't know how I feel about that.

Memphis seems like a good play, but that Dellavadova kid can take over a game by himself, and that's almost a pick 'em.

Davidson and Marquette could go either way.

Gonzaga blows everyone out, but now that it's 1-and-done, do they let up enough to get backdoored in a 27-point spread?

Already on Oregon.

Help!

interesting article on futures vs ML rollovers. The last 3 years the future bet was the better option for this tourney.
