FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (9 Viewers)

Perhaps this game is played like the last one in Boston. Over 1.5 1st period +150. Score in first 10 minutes +135. 50/75 and 50/67.50
 i think i'll join you with the 1st period over. Lot of talk about how crappy the ice will be, so my guess is both teams look to score fast and early before the game gets crappy

RN, you around?

We haven't done a music run off in a while.

Pick a theme and let's go.

Need something to do during the Bruins/Hawks game

Got two basic cheeseburgers at McDonald's tonight and after I drove away and started eating, I noticed the buns were sesame seed. That's *never* happened before in the million years I've been going there. The Google machine doesn't mention anything about it, so I suspect this particular McD's somehow ran out of the normal buns.

Fascinating, right?

The Good: I bought more of the series at +240

The Very Good: I smashed in the face of 4 dudes at a Omaha Hi table on sportsbook for $1100 in 20 min.

The Bad: I could have used that team to Cap Hockey Props.

hopefully your first 10 minutes hit (i didn'ty turn the game on until 8:00 left or so). Seems like the ov1.5 goals for the first was a good call too, just didn't hit. Oh well. Grabbed Boston -1.5 +235 in the beginning of the game, and took Chicago +225 right now. Hoping Boston doesn't win by 1 goal

krejci had a really good chance but missed. Hit the 1st 10 minutes with the goal. 2nd period bruins -.5 +150 and ML -115.

Nobody wants to talk about the unexpected sesame seed buns I received?
T&P man
Still waiting for my fruit basket from the Heat futures.

:kicksrock:
I'll be in Rhody in 3 weeks. How about a few shots of Jack at Rick's Roadhouse? There's a great "urban" bar next door that plays nothing but the tunes you and I love too.
PM me when you get into town. And you don't owe me anything. Just breaking your balls...

But yea - thanks for that.

Trying to withdraw a few dimes from sportsbook as we speak. Should be fun
That reminds me....I have a buddy who is a legit poker pro. He has played using the sportsbook skin. He told me that if you call and talk to a supervisor and you play any poker at all they will let you "stack checks". In other words, they will let you request more then one check at a time.

they let anyone request more than one check at a time

If they let you... you are lucky. They wont let me. Only one at a time until they send out the check (about 6-8 weeks).

GPJ told me he had 2 or 3 checks on the way and I had 2 out there for awhile but just received one recently. I think you can request one per month.

Well as RN said in the Hockey Thread, it's officially football season. My Phil Steele came in the mail yesterday...already liking Fresno State Over Rutgers in week 1.

baseball is sooooo sloooow compared to the NBA and NHL playoffs. Dreadful going from game 6 to this SF-LAD game. And SF looks a ton better then the Dodgers, but have wasted quite a few opportunities. I can't imagine watching this game though if i didn't have any money on it

For those of you who enjoy a good steak (which is pretty much all of you), I must recommend Peter Luger's steak sauce. Saw it next to the best cuts of meat at the market, and figured what the hell. It's freakin awesome. You don't need to drown the steak. Just lightly marinade it on both sides and leave it in the fridge for about 30-60 minutes. Then throw it on the grill and have a ball.

1 free per month, 40 after that.

They have started to show up. I think they were having processor issues.

Great baserunning by Posey earlier.

Cliff Lee is dominating. I'd pay money to watch him pitch. Didn't realize Everth Cabrera was on the DL. <_<

Edit: Lee is now batting in the top of the ninth. :help:

He's truly a sole bright spot in an otherwise bleak outlook on this team. Fun to watch, one guy on this team who is actually generating some return on his mega contract. Hope we don't trade him, but would understand if we did, we're on the brink of a full re-tooling here.

ETA: If you are watching this game, the 9th inning collapse sums up the season perfectly. Lee pitches 8 rock solid innings. Gets "good" run support, since this offense is brutally sporadic. Left in one batter too long in the 9th for the CG by our soon to be former manager, now runners on 2nd and 3rd, 0 outs. The 50MM closer for a team with a losing record promptly gives up a bloop single to get both runs in, 3-2. Walks next batter, 1st and 2nd, 0 outs. GIDP, 2 outs, tie runner at 3B. Passed ball, tie game. Walks batter, runner on 1st, 2 outs.

I'm going to bed, brutal.

i'm going to be real salty if the Giants lose this one. Started something new today where these homeless guys trying to selling nwespapers that they have articles in or something. I told myself during game 7 of the Heat game that if the Heat win i will have to get something from these guys. Gave the guy $10 today for a newspaper that i couldn't have wanted less, and I was anticipating some of that positive vibes to flow this way from it. I don't think it is working, but i will try 2 more times for a good sample size

I watched every pitch. And I was holding Pads +103, o6.5 -105, and Pads o3 +125 all maxed.

Well, we're always glad to see people get paid in here. I'll take solace in that. Nice hits, all around GB

Baccarat question. First, please read this:

Those who dabble in baccarat know that the bet on the banker hand is slightly better than the bet on player. Both are among the better bets in the casino, with a house edge of 1.06 percent if you bet on banker, and 1.24 percent if you bet on player.

The banker bet actually wins a little more often than it loses. With all hands considered, banker wins 45.86 percent of the time, player wins 44.62 percent, and 9.52 percent of hands result in ties. Since the ties push, banker wins 50.68 percent of the time when there is a decision, and player wins 49.32 percent.
Considering the bank wins a measly 1% of the time more than the "player", I'm having a hard time rationalizing why anyone would ever pay the 5% commission required to bet on "the bank". Wouldn't it be more prudent to bet on the player every time and skip the commission?
