FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (9 Viewers)

spent a lot of the afternoon watching the Warriors on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCPwp8BBKUY

caused me to take Golden St. +4.5, would hit it for more if they used Swan as their mascot, or at least Cochise
Never actually saw this. Instant airplay to Apple TV, thanks mo!

Watched Training Day, Waiting, and Grandma's Boy today. Movies I love that I hadn't seen in forever.
hah, Waiting and Grandma's boy were on the TV in bkgd, Warriors on laptop. have to get the wires to hook up laptop to TV for next time. but yeah, good movie
Warriors - come out and play-i-yay!

I've seen that quote before, never knew what it was from. Awesome movie.

With a 2-0 lead, there's no good reason for Dallas to have 11 shots in the 3rd, unless they just want to hurt our feelings.

Stay out of the box, Yotes!
I'm confused on what you played here.

I sent you Phoenix Under 30.5 SOG and Dallas Over 31.5 SOG, didn't I?

Yeah, I'm an idiot. Put in Dallas over for the max, but had it written down as under on the sheet I've been looking at all night.

:lmao:

Well this is a pretty good feeling!

Good day, Rude. Ref made a late-night comeback as well.

That's two days in a row where things were not looking great, but rebounded. Gonna miss the NHL for a few weeks.

when did things not look great? when you thought you bet the opposite of what you actually played? :lmao:

I went 8-2 in save props and 3-0 SOG props posted here (3-1 in the ones I sent you).

Wolves o100 110/100

Really asking for trouble, but considering the history of O/U in this matchup and they average 103.0 on 0 days' rest.
JESUS MAN this stressed me out and I didn't even play it. BREWER!
People went ape#### on the under when the Love news broke. They brought it all the way down to 204 from 211. Yet the 211 still hit by a 16-point margin. That makes the O/U in this matchup 12-1-1 (.923) since 2010. Strong trend that not even zero days of rest and early-morning flights could derail. They play again on the 23rd and Pekovic should be back by then.

Ha! I made the mistake of trying to correlate what you liked at Bovada into SOG plays at SB. I won't try that experiment again. The Leafs f--ked me hard but I still made a few bucks.

I had Leafs projected with 29.5 shots and 26.5 saves for Luongo.

So, the 28.5 SOG for Toronto was a non-play for me but the 25 saves for Luongo was a small play.

Leafs only average 27.8 shots/game so taking an over for them is rarely a good idea. I just thought the saves line on Luongo was a tad lower than it should be. Definitely wouldn't have recommended playing Over for SOG there since it was already set 3.5 above the saves line (which is usually the sharper line).

Does Bovada offer SOG props, or is that just SB?

I'm going to fund and start tailing Bovada if they have SOG, my local doesn't post them.

sorry. I'm trying to only pass along plays that I feel pretty strongly about.

At my $3 limit per bet, I had a pretty good day (10-4) but a lot of these are just coin flips that happened to go my way.

If they're on at Bovada i'd happily pick 1/2 each day to play for a low amt (25ish). Bovada is my favorite site that you have to prefund.

Bovada has goalie save props

Sportsbook has SOG props

Bovada lines are a bit sharper and obviously you have to worry about how many goals are given up and whether a goalie will get pulled so that makes them a bit tougher. I've been afraid to share much there as I don't want to get my limits cut.

Yeah, Anderson getting pulled today was just about the last straw for me on Bovada overs. He was on pace to SAIL over the number, but he got yanked. Such a horrible way to lose, and it's happened several times. It's almost under-or-nothing.

Yeah.... it's been a hectic week or two for me. My pals were down to visit. I've been busy with work (but my promotion just came through 25% raise.... boy do I have them fooled). And now the WSOP is in town for the Palm Beach circut events and the PLO8 games have been..... adventitious so far to say the least.

Nothing worse then starting off the day nailing a Under only to watch it go up in flames in OT and follow that up with an easy over and watch that goalie get pulled.

I have always said there is more money in playing unders then overs..... but the overs are still +EV in the right spots.

Today was tough with the OT/Pull but we have had some days where I boned an under only to watch a goalie get pulled and pull out the cheep W.

PSA: Healthy Choice has a new line of frozen dinners .... "steamers" they call them, inspired by the winners of Top Chef. This is a game-changer, folks. The nutritional content will satisfy almost any diet plan, and they are all freakin delicious. I'm having the spicy General Tso's chicken now.

 so what did you think?
Dude, awesome movie! Glad I finally checked this out, can't believe I hadn't seen it before.

Thought Luther was Sean Penn :bag:

Is my boy Bob getting the call in net for Russia?
Not sure. Varlamov has been a bit better this year.
I think they go Bob to start, but regardless of the big ice, I see the Russians falling flat again. Too much pressure, not enough talent on the blueline.

Hopefully Switzerland gets some nice dog lines, they are going to be sneaky in this tourney and could threaten to medal.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I bet on these snowboarder chicks:

Anna Gasser 9/4

Torah Bright 9/1

Also bet on Sweden in Women's Curling. 7/4.

Johan Olsson in cross country 15k skiing. 8/1

Frida Hansdotter in Women's Slalom skiing 10/1

The Knicks have played one game a year at OKC since the Thunder moved there in 2008. The Knicks were 0-4 SU, 1-3 ATS (avg line 5.5), 0-4 O/U (avg total 208.4), and averaged 94.2 points per game the first four years. Last year on April 7, a Sunday, at 1 PM EST, they went to OKC and beat the Thunder 125-120 as 8-point underdogs. They are 3-7 SU and 6-4 ATS (avg line 4.3) against the Thunder all-time.

Thunder on Sunday (all home games):

SU: 9-1 (13.00, 90.0%) ATS: 6-4-0 (3.45, 60.0%) avg line: -9.6 O/U: 5-5-0 (-0.40, 50.0%) avg total: 203.0

Avg score: 108 (±8.7) to 95 (±9.6)

Race 8 Santa Anita (Robert Lewis Stakes)

taking a chance on the #7 Chitu (7/2 Morning Line...currently 6-1 with 20 min to post)

4th choice behind 2 heavy favorites but speed numbers figure with the top 2 (bobbled start last out and still got to the lead and held on)

couple of nice workouts too

at the current odds I think he's worth a small play

Went ATB. Small wins are wins!

If you're looking at the Clips' team total, opposing teams have scored more than 117 against the Sixers seven times in Sixers home games, but only three times when the Sixers are on the road. How does that happen. To their credit, they are 7-3 ATS getting double digits, and 5-0 ATS when they get 11 or more. But in their L4 games against the Clippers they are 0-4 ATS with an average score of 80-95. So there is your 15 points.

The Clippers are 6-4 ATS laying double digits, average score 107-92; so there's your 15 points again. They have only been favorites by this much three times since 1995, all three in February and April of last year, and they won all three games ATS by margins of 6.0, 8.5, and 0.5.
