Sucks man. So, I was in a major car accident this summer. Bottom line, other guy was at fault and cited. Huge PITA to deal with, thank goodness I wasn't hurt, it was ugly. Well, took about 40 days to fix my car, and I pay for 30 days of $30/day rental coverage. So, I was out the last 10 OOP. I paid up, and sent the info to my insurer to recover from the at fault party. I figure, well these things take time. 6 months later I check in to see when I'm getting my $280 and change back. Insurer of the at fault party told me once I had them on the phone "oh, we haven't issued you your check yet because we needed you to call us to confirm your mailing address (which she read back to me) for the check." <_<

Well, get the check last Wednesday, :pickle: since I wrote it off as money I'd never see again. Sure enough, Thursday morning I get a flat on a pothole on my way into work, tire cost leaving me with about $30 bucks. :sadbanana:

Man, those were the days - Marble, BJ Armstrong and Ed Horton at Iowa, The 'Flyin' Illini' with Stephen Bardo, Nick Anderson, Kendall Gill and Kenny Battle, Georgia Tech's 'Lethal Weapon 3' (Kenny Anderson, Brian Oliver, Dennis Scott), Sherman Douglas, Rony Seikaly and a young Derrick Coleman at 'cuse, Sean Elliot and Steve Kerr in Arizona...Michigan, Indiana, the Big East, my favorite team, the Razorbacks, moving from the SWC to the SEC and the start of the Nolan Richardson era '40 minutes of hell', and a young Coach K just starting to feel his oats at Duke...one and done wasn't even a gleam in daddy's eye back then, kids stayed and developed, programs had continuity and history, and both the NBA and college hoops was better for it...cheers to a fellow old timer, RN! :banned: :hifive: :banned:

Spartans have won ten of their L13, and the three games they lost were by an average margin of 4 ±2. They have lost seven games in conference play this season by an average margin of 4 ±3. Spartans beat Mercer 80-61 last time - granted that game was at home, but was also without Ty Greene in the lineup. Mercer is good at home, but I took the 8 points.

Liking #7 Georgia Southern -5 over #10 Furman (Southern, 1:30 PM). I would like to like it A LOT, but skittish b/c GaSouth is 2-0 season series and these 2 just played a week ago in their last regular season game, recent familiarity sometimes can play a role. Furman is really, really bad, though. Thoughts? Finishing out the Southern, #6 UNC-Greensboro -6 should crush #11 Citadel.

Despite the fact that they played last night, everyone and his brother appears to be betting on #9Evansville vs #1 undefeated darling Wichita State. I've watched that spread drop from 18.5 to 17 in the last 90 minutes...with the regular season undefeated goal having been reached, I would like to think the Shockers would play fast and loose, which ought to lead to a blowout of a tired and vastly inferior opponent, but who wants to lay that many points ever, when there's so much more on the docket? I wouldn't be surprised though, if the Purple Aces backers wind up losing money...Loyola-Chicago played even later, and had to work to beat Bradley, I like Indian State -7 here, just haven't decided how much.

Betting #3 Wright State -4 vs #6 Oakland (Horizon, 7pm), for sure.

 
The Racers are 9-1 SU versus EKU L5 years, including a 77-64 win at EKU on Jan 8 as 8.5-point underdogs. They won this same OVC semifinal matchup last year 81-73 as 1.5-point underdogs, and got to rest yesterday while EKU had to play.

The Nuggets are so up and down in the 1Q in their games. The eight most recent home games they won they have scored between 22 and, most recently, 41 points against Dallas, but they have won the 1Q in those eight games by an average of 4.9 ±4.3. I didn't take the 1Q spread - this is action junkie at it's finest. FWIW, I think the total might be set about 20-30 points too high in that game, but I'm not sticking around to find out. Just looking for a Belmont win and then the Nuggets to kick the :censored: out of the Lakers in the 1Q to bring it home.
