FFPC and week 12 bye week players (1 Viewer)

How are people approaching this? If you don;t have a player for the first round of the playoffs, I am thinking they are virtually undraftable in the first 4 rounds. Thoughts?

if your deciding between dez and aj green

or shady/spiller and t- rich maybe it makes you lean towards dez or t-rich but overall you gotta get to week 12 before its a concern.

shady and green are still both first and 2nd round picks respectively. but everyone is gonna approach it different.

you could load up on week 12 guys to give yourself a better chance at getting to the championship rounds as you'll be able to put your best line up out there for the first 11 weeks. or you could skip week 12 guys altogether. gotta be flexible

my approach was to worry about week 12 when I get there. I wasn't going to pass on who I thought was the better play this year just to avoid it. If 2 players were close I used it as a tie breaker.

I have 2 FFPC teams, both have Spiller. One ended up with Spiller, A.J Green and Vick. Week 12 could be tough but if i don't get there it definitely won't matter, and if I do it might not matter.

I have 7 teams in the $350 buy in leagues....I have no players from those teams in the first 5 rounds. I am not a fan of Marshawn Lynch, Spiller, Russell Wilson, Stevie Johnson, McCoy, Desean Jackson anyways and have them in none of my leagues. I cannot believe it but I have seen many teams with AJ Green and McCoy or Lynch on same team. Sure way of just taking your $ and burning it. Stupid strategy.

I do have Vick in one league but I have 3 other QBs so it should not be difficult finding a starter in week 12.

I would think the 2nd team has next to no chance to win in week 12 even if it makes the playoffs. You are guaranteed to be playing a good team.

You could still get into the big playoffs, but I think you have no play to win your league.

I really like McCoy and was thinking about him for the 3rd pick. However, after thinking about his bye I can't see how I would take him in the first round.

Completely agree, people should be paying more attention to this.

ESPECIALLY if you are drafting at 10ET tonight. ;)

No offense, but I don't think you could possibly know that. I made sure to draft high upside players knowing that I'd need some help in that week (Josh Gordon, Blackmon, Gronk) Honestly, I have no doubt that I'll field a team with at least a chance of winning. I may be an underdog today, but a lot can happen in 11 weeks.

im drafting from the 4 spot tonight.. still deciding if i wanna take shady or not..I think if you take good enough back ups you'll have plenty of potential to still be successful in week 12 assuming you get that far.. i know guys are saying well i wont take them in the first 5 rounds. and if aj green falls to you end of round 2 your gonna skip him because of bye week so far from now that it might not even effect your team

Some people play for league prizes, some play for the Championship round, some try to play for both.

To call a weak week 12 lineup, stupid is a bit silly. Someone may load up on the week 12 players you are letting go to dominate the regular season and have a chance to roll in the championship round.

I find this to be especially true in the FPC, where you are going to have to have a tremendous draft, great in-season management, lots of luck with injuries to win against that many teams. If all of that happens, I give them a 56% chance of something. ;)

I hope I get to play that team with all of those week 12 players in the playoffs.
