we had everyone pick winner and individual scores. i tied with another person by picking the winner but how do we determine winner from the points we picked. We both were 4 points away from the winner i was high the other person was lower but both scores were 4 pts away. what is the best way to choose a winner from this?

In my world it's called a tie. If you didn't plan for a tiebreaker, you split whatever winnings there were (if there were any winnings involved). If it's something that can't be split, flip a coin.

I always played that you couldn't go OVER the total points....but if that wasn't clear....
