This is a 12-team PPR dynasty in its 10th year. $150 non-IDP. We're looking for 3 new owners with dynasty experience, who are ready for a long-term commitment. The league is more fun the longer we're all together and rivalries can intensify.
We have an unusual set-up that mirrors the NFL and helps promote rivalry. 2 conferences, 4 total divisions (2 per conference), 3 teams in each division. The playoff brackets determine conference champions, who then meet in the Superbowl. Divisional foes play each other in double-headers weeks 1, 2, 12 & 13, making those matchups supremely important. Teams also play the other division in their conference, and 1 of the divisions in the other conference (alternating each year. This means that every team in a division has played the exact same opponents each year. So scheduling is 100% fair.
Each division champ makes the playoff and 1 wild card team is determined from the remaining teams in each conference. The division winner with the most VPs earns the #1 seed and a week 14 bye. The other division winner plays the wild card team. Winner of that matchup meets the #1 seed week 15, and the winner of that goes to the Superbowl week 16.
League bylaws are also designed to help struggling teams ramp up and compete quickly. Starting requirements are 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 K, 1 D. So a team doesn't have to be as deep to field a competitive roster. Waiver are worst-to-first so struggling teams have stronger chances at difference-making free agents. Rookie draft order for the non-playoff teams is determined by power rankings, so the truly worse-performing rosters get the better picks. The rookie/free agent draft is held after the 2nd week of the preseason, so those early picks are more likely to pay off. And last, you can drop as many players as you like prior to the rookie/FA draft and that will determine how many rounds you pick in (so if you have, for example, 8 open roster slots prior to the draft, you will draft until all those slots are filled).
We have seen teams go from worst to champ very quickly.
If these details are interesting to you, here's the list of players and picks in the dispersal draft. 3 teams will draft the following:
