The biggest concern for me is if you take Peyton or Brady.
The QB2 late sitch is often a bunch of Wk 6 guys (Lefty, Frye, Brad Johnson - Favre should be gone by then).
Thanks again Jeff for posting this in July to give us FBGs a heads up on weeks 6 and 7 BYEs.I'm glad you mentioned Peyton and Brady. Those 2 QB were my 1 and 2 also, however after reading your post and doing some mocks. I realized that if I took 1 of them it would have changed my #2 QB (I loved Leftwich and Farve as #2). So I decided to take studs first and then a top QB (not Peyton or Brady).
I got 3 top RBs and WR and then Eli Manning in 7 plus I got Favre in rnd 12.
Favre will have more than 25 tds this year, anyone know why I think that?
In my main league I got LT,Gates (Same bye I know but value here). then Dunn, Bolden and Hasselbeck as my #1 QB. Then Leftwich in rnd 13 as QB2.
Was I mindful?
So, Thanks again. Here si my post from July 5th:
From post 1:
(Jeff Pasquino July 5th)
I consider Week 6 a killer week this year.
CLE - Frye, Droughns, Jurevicius, KW2, etc....
GB - Favre, Green, Gado, Driver, etc....
INDY - Peyton, Addai, Rhodes, Harrison, Wayne, etc...
JAX - Leftwich, FTaylor, Matt Jones, MLewis, etc....
MIN - Brad Johnson, CTaylor, MMoore, KRob, Wiggins, etc...
NE - Brady, Branch, Dillon, Maroney, Watson, etc.....
Week 7 is softer, but still - watch out.
Just be mindful of it.
(my response July 5th)
Wow, that is a killer wk. I'm targeting several of these players. I'm sure a lot of you are too. I raelly liked Favre and Leftwich this year for my #2 because they slipped so far. Of course I like Manning and Brady (Jeff's #1&2), but if I get 1 of them I have to give up my solid #2's IMO.
That settles that I won't be paying for Manning or Brady, which is a good strategy to know going into the draft season. I would have caught this when I actuall did my
projections. I always take bye wks into concideration.
