fire up the wagon: who are you starting benard pierce over in week 3? (1 Viewer)

Ridley? I'm going to have a tough time choosing between him and Bell in one league.

Starting: Pierce / Joique

Bench: Ridley / TRich / Bradshaw .

I need monster points to beat Staffard/Calvin combo this week and I think Pierce/Joique have a higher ceiling this week than the latter two.

Trying to decide

starting 3 between doug martin, chris johnson, darren sproles and bernard pierce.

I wish Pierce had a better match up this week. Might start pierce over sproles

Trying to decide if I'm starting Pierce over TRich. My only other RBs are Martin (starting) and Tate. (9 starters, 15 roster slots w/ one IR slot).

Just saw this...I think the decision to start Pierce has gotten much easier:

Rice officially listed as DOUBTFUL.

Ray Rice (hip) is listed as doubtful for Week 3 versus Houston.
The doubtful designation officially means the Ravens believe Rice's chances of playing Sunday are 25 percent or worse. They previously stated he'd be a game-time decision, but the odds are heavily against Rice dressing against the Texans. Appearing on ESPN's NFL Insiders Friday, John Clayton suggested it would be a "miracle" if Rice played. Expect Bernard Pierce to flirt with 20-plus touches in an average to above-average matchup.

I have to start 2 between B Pierce, R Mathews and D Williams

I think I might go out on a lib and start Pierce and Williams.

Thoughts?

I dont think thats going out on a limb at all

if pierce was the starter he would be a first round pick imo (fantasy purposes)

Not 100% sure Rice is out and all 3 are pretty close on projected fantasy points this week.

Ridley. Got a solid head start with Charles going off last night, so going to roll with Pierce, assuming Rice is declared out. I figure both are going to have tough days running against good fronts, but like the chances of Pierce catching a few balls during catchup mode if Houston jumps out early.

Over Rice in a couple.

Over D.McFadden in one.

Over D.Richardson in another.

Considered starting him over a red-hot Moreno in another, but can't pull the trigger on that one.

Ill never understand threads like this.
These are some of the more productive threads in the pool.
How so?

What are the chances we all have the same team, lineup, league size, scoring system??

It's all relative.
Because there are a finite combinations of tiers of players. The possibility that a team that owns Rice, Pierce or both also has a combination of a similar tier of players quickly approaches 100% when you consider how many people play fantasy football.

Its pretty simple, just because someones situation isn't similar to yours doesn't mean it isn't similar to anothers, or hundreds of others.

These threads provide people with all kinds of different situations a look at what others are doing - its raw information.

Poor field position killed the first couple of drives, then they just sucked. I feel confident the O is gonna turn it around in the second half.
