Firefox issue with Youtube and Flashblock (fix inside) (1 Viewer)

Still hanging on with Firefox for the time being. I love Flashblock, which covers videos with a Play button that won't let them play until you click to allow them.

So anyway, in the last month or two, Youtube redid their site to defeat Flashblock. You go to their page and there's no way to click on the Flashblock play button to play the video. There's a way around it for anyone who also uses Adblock Plus though and wants Flashblock to function normally.

EDIT: Someone at the same place I got the below method came up with another way which they say is lower in cpu overhead, so I'd recommend trying it first. It is at: http://technotes.whw1.com/computer-related/software/internet-browsers/firefox/69-fix-for-firefox-flashblock-and-youtube-click-problem#Flashblock%20Firefox%20Youtube%20Click%20Fix

(Old method)

Just go to your Add Ons page. Choose Adblock Plus. Choose Options. Click the Filter Preferences button.

Click the Custom Filters tab. Click Add filter group and name it Youtube or something like that. If the screen is currently just showing one box, then click on Actions and choose Show/hide filters so you have 2 boxes side by side, with the right side saying Enabled, Filter Rule, etc.

On the right, click Add filter. In the text area enter the following exactly as it appears here: youtube.com###theater-background

Then click Close. Now when you go to Youtube, your Adblock Plus will block the element that Youtube is using to defeat Flashblock, which should work normally.

Any thoughts on the automatically playing videos (usually Youtube-based) on Facebook?

That was why I installed Flashblock in the first place, to stop those damn things. Is that what you are asking, how to stop them?

you should be able to stop the auto play of videos on facebook within your facebook settings/preferences.
