3 (75) QB Joe Flacco, Delaware

3 (90) SS Jamar Adams, Michigan
Why not? They've had so much luck with Michigan players in the past.
Yeah, Terrell did suck really bad. I'd pretty much take whichever of the top-flight receivers like Kelly, Sweed, Doucet, Jackson, Manningham or Hardy falls to our spot.

Minnesota

1 (17)

2 (47)

3 (73) (from Broncos)

3 (82)
1 (17) - Malcolm Kelly: Tools to be a #1 WR. 2 (47) - Chad Henne: I still like Jackson to be the QB, but the depth is not there. Also, too much value to pass up.

3 (73) - Dustin Keller: Need a good TE to help throw from running formations.

3 (82) - DJ Wolfe: They need a safety as I see them dumping Dwight Smith.

I really like these picks for Minnesota. :goodposting:

I am assuming OLB and S will be addressed in free agency for the Browns because that is what I would do.

If we do not trade DA

2. Curtis Lofton ILB Oklahoma

3. Dre Moore DE Maryland

If we do trade DA, as I hope we do

1. Kantwan Balmer DE North Carolina

2. Marcus Harrison DT Arkansas

3. Bruce Davis OLB UCLA/Darrel Robertson OLB Ga Tech

3. LaVelle Hawkins WR Cal

Scenario 1) QB first

Atlanta

1 (3) Matt Ryan

2 (37) Ray Rice

2 (48) (from Texans) Carl Nicks or Chad Rinehart

3 (68) Red Bryant

Scenario 2) RB first

Atlanta

1 (3) Darren McFadden

2 (37) Chad Henne

2 (48) (from Texans) Carl Nicks or Chad Rinehart

3 (68) Red Bryant

Either way, the Falcons need QB, RB (one that's over 190 lbs), OT and NT.

I'd love to see what McFadden could do in the Silver & Black......but my head tells me it goes like this.

Oakland

1 (4).......Sedrick Ellis DT USC

2 (34).....Mario Manningham WR Michigan

I do not think Miami winds up with the #1 overall (I think that will end up in Dallas)....but....

1:1 - Glenn Dorsey - LSU

2: 32 - Dominique Rogers-Cromartie - Tennessee St.

2: 59 - Anthony Collins - Kansas

3: 64 - Joe Flacco - Delaware

Carolina

1 (13) OT Williams - Vanderbilt

2 (43) DT Moore - Maryland

3 (74) FS Demps - UTEP or FS Castille - Alabama
Can the Panthers really end day one without a QB? :football:
Yes, and I'm pretty sure they won't take one on the first day. Fox hates taking QB's (I'll see if I can find the quote) early and will definitely NOT take one in the first. Delhomme is actually a little ahead in his rehab and is already throwing. Yeah, it's a nerf football, but he's scheduled to be fully available come mini-camp. Add that to Moore's development at the end of last year (he'll most likely be the #2) and the fact that they like Basanez and I think it means no QB's first day. Carolina like's to drop 2nd day picks on QB's and I expect there may be another one this year. They will also most likely pick up a vet in free agency and McCown seems to be the name that is most mentioned. Kinda interesting that Carolina didn't cut David Carr yesterday. Not exactly sure what that means yet.Quote from Fox, not the one I was looking for, but still gives you an idea about how he feels about drafting QB's early:

"Quarterback is the hardest position to develop in our game," says Carolina Panthers coach John Fox, whose team went to the Super Bowl with an undrafted free agent, Jake Delhomme, who was signed away from the New Orleans Saints. "It takes more time. It takes more effort. You're taking a guy that I'd call a high risk because you don't know him yet and paying him a lot of money, and he takes longer than anybody else on the field. In that impatient world, that's not a good deal for me."

From another site: One thing is for certain – they won’t draft a quarterback in the first round. Fox and Hurney share a philosophy that it takes too long to develop a first-round quarterback and by the time he’s ready to play his contract is up.

I doubt they end up with a QB at all. I am puzzled as to why Carr has not been cut, I imagine it is because they plan to acquire another vet in FA but want to ensure they sign one first but that's pure speculation. I expect Delhomme and Moore to be 1 and 2 with Bazanez and Carr/vet battling for the #3 role. This year's QB class is weak and I believe the Panthers think they have other issues to address before QB.

I think Thompson is going to trade down again. The Packers only have 6 picks in this draft based on giving up a 6th rounder for Grant. I would not be shocked to see himk trade the 1st for a 2nd and a 3rd. The Packers need depth in the secondary, o-line, and linebacker positions. They could also go after another rb. That being said, if they stick with these picks:

Option A

1.) Felix Jones RB (Best talent on the board if he is there, Grant is cheap and the Packers want to run)

2.) Charles Godfrey CB (6-1 with 4.4 speed)

3.) Eric Young G (6-4 310, the Packer have had good success with Tennesse lineman (Clifton, Wells) and take another one). I still think Colledge will end up at tackle at some point and the Packers need to improve the interior of their line.

Not bad and I love Felix. Not sure on Young just yet...especially if they take my advice...hah!!!...and get Wahle back now that Carolina has released him.Id say they may be drafting OT before drafting guards.

OT is probaby a bigger need with the aging tackles, but an OT would sit a few years. A guard would immediately challenge for playing time. I also think Colledge will eventually be the backup LT. I made this pick based on need and the success they have had with Tenn linemen. They obvioulsy have confidence in that coaching staff (Clifton, Wells, Harrell) and the those lineman are coached well.

Thats why I think they go OT.If you need a guy to sit for a few years...better draft him now.Ted knows he needs to think about both the future and now.I think he goes guard in free agency (not necessarily a big name guy, but a veteran for depth) and they stick with what they have. Down the stretch, the line did look pretty good.

With the unfortunate news about Udeze's cancer, the Vikings #1 priority will be to get a another DE in the draft or via free agency.

Philadelphia

1 (19) - DeSean Jackson WR Cal

2 (49) - Charles Godfrey DB Iowa

3 (80) - Heath Benedict OT/OG Newberry

STEELERS

1-23-Chris Williams (OT, Vanderbilt)

2-54-Roy Schuening (OG, Oregon State)

3-89-Ahtyba Rubin (DT, Iowa St)

The Rubin pick would need some movement to acquire.

1st RoundAgree with Williams unless Otah is available.2nd Round:The Steelers need depth at DE and take USC's Lawrence Jackson. I like picking a guard here as well though.3rd Round:If they didn't take a guard in the 2nd they'll do it here. Schuening might still be around and if not Drew Radovich from USC or Eric Young from Tennessee will do. It also wouldn't surprise me to see the Steelers go after a RB here -- maybe Jamaal Charles of Texas.

Don't know anything about him, care to elaborate...
Put up 1057 yards and 13 Tds in the SEC. Played big in big games. Good size decent speed and really good body control. Just looked the part in my opinion.Plus he is a free style rapper.

I like this but i do see the birds reaching for a DE in the 1st round if not the first the 2nd . But I love Jackson with are first pick . Unless we sighn Andre Davis and trade for Roy Williams

I like Williams in the first. I'd take him over Otah if both are available. Williams can play LT. Otah can't(in my estimation). Smith is aging and is starting to get dinged more frequently. They have no other real LTs on the roster(not a believer in Essex.) And while I think Williams is better suited for LT, he could probably play RT for a year or so allowing them to move Colon inside where he belongs. Williams takes over for Smith at LT when he's done. 2nd round is where I'd want to take a long look at a DT/DE type. A guy like Dre Moore would fit the bill pretty nicely. Quick enough to cover the 3-4 DE spot, but big enough to play inside if they started using more 4 man fronts. There are others that look to be grading out around this area that would be acceptable to me as well. I recall a year ago reading that Kevin Colbert really likes Lawrence Jackson, so GB's pick there would dovetail with that, but if they're staying primarily 3-4 I don't see it as a great fit.3rd round I'm back on the OL train. A guard would be best, but if one of the tackles who may project inside graded out here I wouldn't rule them out either. As for guards, the aforementioned Scheuning may be here. Felton from Arkansas is another guy I'm warming to. It wouldn't totally shock me to see them go RB or WR in round 3. I won't agree with it, but it won't shock me. 2nd option(to be different):1. Balmer, DT2. Nicks, OT3. Forte, RB

I can see that too. However we took one in the 2nd last year and he hardly saw the field. Guess it depends on what they do in free agency. I think if they take a skill player high, that player has to have KR/PR abilities. Jackson would fill a long time need in the return game, hence why he's in the 1st. IF he's available, he'd have instant and significant impact on the Eagles in 2008....something rookies seldom, if ever, do for this team.

MY exact dream draft. I doubt Talib or Cromartie end up falling to us though. I would love it if either were there. Felix Jones would definitely be the pick at RB.Doucet would be AWESOME in this spot. Think he will fall this far?

It wouldn't matter if he was. He would be pretty low on the Packers list.
