Fitz owners rolling him out this week? (1 Viewer)

I've got Fitz, Britt, and Breaston on the roster. Jay Cutler's latest number one receiver is available. Guess I have to go with Fitz in this must win, right? Who's in the same boat?

but what about people with depth.... are they rolling with him..... I've got to pick between Fitz and Nicks.... not as easy to say a 1/4 Fitz is better than Nicks

I'm worried that Fitz gets pulled early in a blowout, before he racks up nice stats. For this reason I'm considering Mason over him (Mason should get even more targets with Clayton out and Demetrius banged up). I'll agonize back and forth up until game time.

I have to choose between Fitz, Steve Smith or Breaston. If Fitz is active I am playing him, if not, will probably go with Breaston.

This could be 21-0 in the first quarter. The Cards have bigger eggs to fry than the hapless Lions. Even if Fitz does play I don`t see him in the game for long..only because there will be no need.

Fitz is a game time decision but there a good chance he will not play.

News: Larry Fitzgerald remained limited in practice Friday as he was all week and is questionable for Week 15 at Detroit. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt isn't committing to Fitzgerald playing, even going as far as to say he'll be a game-time decision

where are you getting this? the fact that he practiced at all on friday is a very good sign that he will play this weekend.it might be 28-0 at half, but he might also have 1 tds and 85 yards on 5 catches by then.

Are you willing to risk a goose egg though?

I have Fitz and Megatron!

Not sure if I should start both, one of them or neither due to injuries?

My "subs" are Smith (Giants) and Britt or I could "flex" in McFadden. Any thoughts out there, or do we need to wait closer to gametime?

In cases like these you have to decide which scenario you can most live with. If you bench Fitz after starting him all year and he scores two TDs in the first half before sitting out...how will you feel? Likewise, if you start him and he catches 2-for-19 before taking a seat, how will you feel?

Whichever scenario seems more acceptable is the way to go-- that's what your gut is telling you. Maybe you have a promising fill-in or maybe he's really your best option.

Keep in mind that the Cardinals really want to win this game-- a win and a 49ers loss (likely but certainly not guaranteed) gives them the division, which means everyone can rest a couple of weeks. They won't have anything to play for, so this is the all-out game. Good luck.

I have them both too and I'm trying to figure out what the heck to do. I have Cotchery who has really tailed off or RBush who had a great week last week but doesn't get enough touches to be trusted. For you, Britt's a pretty good option. Smith has a tough matchup this week and I don't even consider McFadden a viable option unless there's just nobody else. I'd keep em in there until you know if they're gonna play and if, for some reason, one of em doesn't - you gotta go Britt.

I'm starting him. He played the rest of the game last week and hasn't had any setbacks in practice this week.

Detroit has actually been serviceable at home this year:

27-13 L to Minny (was 20-10 at the start of the 4th)

19-14 W over Wash

28-20 L to Pitt

17-10 L to St L

38-37 W over Cleve

Arizona looked awful last week. They need this game. Not sure why everyone feels this one will be over in 2 quarters.

Two of the following three must start: Fitz, Roddy White, Brandon Jacobs. Otherwise, I am digging into Gibson, Davone Bess, Marion Barber territory.

So, Fitz and Jacobs is option No. 1.

If Fitz can't go, I'll throw White against Revis and pray for a cheap TD.

Ouch!

Little bit of advice for those thinking about benching Fitz, or any other top tier player. Don't do it unless he's officially ruled out. I considered benching Reggie Wayne this week because of all the talk about resting Colts star players. I'm glad I went with the theory of playing your top players no matter what. They can do more in 1 quarter than many in an entire game.

If Turner doesn't play, I have to choose 4 out of Fitz, Boldin, Marshall, Rice, Harvin, Nicks, Jennings. Boldin and Marshall are in for sure, Fitz, Rice, and Harvin would be my next 3 choices, in that order, but all 3 have issues. What a head ache.

If Turner plays, I may flex him (depending on what the reports are saying) and then I'll only have to choose 3 of the above mentioned WR's. Either way, I have no idea what I'm going to do at this point.

For what its worth..........Rotoworld thinks he will play............

Larry Fitzgerald-WR- Cardinals Dec. 18 - 2:47 pm et

Larry Fitzgerald's (questionable, knee) practice reps were increased Friday, and he said after the workout that he will play at Detroit.

Fitzgerald, who's missed just one game since 2006, said there's "no doubt" he'll play in the choice matchup. His participation in Friday's practice was "limited," but the Cardinals routinely limit players with even minor nicks. Fitz appears to be ready to start, but check back Sunday morning for confirmation.

Got the same choice, not sure which way to go yet. Nicks has been hot lately...

Don't have good enough options to bench him. Only alternative would be Johnny Knox, so errr no, he'll start.

My deadly trio of Fitz, Moss and AJ looks sorta crap right now. Typical that Fitz would get hurt and Moss would ... well, whatever-- all right before the playoffs. At least AJ's consistent.

Right now deciding between SSmith (nyg) and Fitz in PPR. Anyone else having a hard decision?

Choosing between Britt and Fitz. Fitz will probably have to trip over something on his way onto the field for me to bench him, as all signs Sunday morning say he's feeling good.

Fitz is active and expected to start. I am going down with the ship. No way I start Massequoi in a playoff game over Fitz.

Have to choose two of Fitz, S. Rice, and Turner... This is tough. Thoughts?

(WEEK 16 VERSION OF THE SAME QUESTION... DIDN'T WANT TO START A NEW THREAD)

I can't believe I'm on the verge of sitting my 2nd-round pick this week, but I have five guys for four spots.

1) Fitz vs. the Rams - Coming off the knee scare. Cards have a playoff berth locked up. Yes, they could still get the #2 seed and a bye, but it would take two wins + Minnesota losing to BOTH Chicago and the Giants, and Philly losing to BOTH Denver and Dallas. In other words, I can't see them pushing Fitz in a game they should be leading handily early. Three of the past four weeks, he has had 4 receptions or less -AND- 36 yards receiving or less!

2) Steve Smith vs. the Giants - He is the only option in the passing game, and N.Y. is without both starting corners.

3) Jonathan Stewart vs. the Giants - Williams is now doubtful, as is their 3rd-string RB. This is a 25-carry game.

4) Brandon Marshall vs. the Eagles - Only option in Denver's passing game. No-brainer.

5) Beanie Wells vs. the Rams. Big lead. Lots of carries against a team horrible in defending the run.

Is my logic sound here? I can't play Fitz over any of those other four guys, can I??? :goodposting:

\Mo, I would sit Fitz only because of the knee situation. Wells should have a 100 total and a TD.

I have no idea if Wiz will play everybody all game, but this team, especially the O has looked terrible. This years Cards haven't shown an ability to "turn it on" at will and barely escaped an L vs. the Lions. They look rusty and out-of-sync. They really have all year except for a few games. If they want to have a fighting chance to get out of the first round they need to find some rhythm the next 2 weeks or it will be one and done. I really don't see this team having the luxury of resting anybody.
