There used to be a Fuddruckers by the U. They had pretty good burgers and the place was usually packed with college women. So win win.

there isn't a Chevron at 58th and Biscayne, you're between 60th and 61st at Europa Car Wash and Cafe.

Again, Red Robin is the worst case scenario. There are thousands of restaurants that serve a burger and fries as good or better than Five Guys for $10, especially when they cook it to your preference and don't force you to eat your burger well done.
As for tax, unless you take your Five Guys to go, you're paying dine in tax too. So if tax is 10%, both Five Guys and your diner of choice are at $11. The tip is still $1.50. If you want to tip on the tax, then it's $0.15 for a total of $1.65, which is 15% more than the $11 that BOTH places charged after tax. Where you are coming up with 30% more is fascinating.
For the time it takes me to do that I can throw an 8 oz Ribeye on the grill and microwave a baked potato.Now granted, I only eat out once a work-week and really, it's more of a carry-out/dine-at-my-desk sorta deal, so I am not a good barometer of what lunch costs on a daily basis, but....there's a super market down the road that makes any kind of deli sandwich you want for $5.99. I will stack this tuna fish sandwich on marble rye with swiss cheese against anything Subway offers up. Absolutely splendid the way Sherri makes them for me. Fresh, tasty, all sorts of pickles and peppers.
I'm guessing you could find a supermarket in your area that does the same. If you're a soda drinker and a chips eater, you could probably find those cheaper at the store too.

That's right. There is a full on coffee place inside, the owner Rene built it to attract better customers to his overpriced gas pumps which I never fill up. But he has delicious sandwiches and the best coffee in the city. He then lead some of the adjacent space and a fellow who already had a detail and wash business rents it from him.
Inside has a TV with Soccer usually going and conches to sit, surf, and sip.

There's a 5 guys (and an In-N-Out) about about a dozen miles from my house. It's the only one I've ever been to, and every time I've ordered they've asked me how I'd like the burger cooked. I've always asked for and gotten medium/medium rare, slightly pink in the center. Apparently this one franchise doesn't approve of the "well done only" rule and is going rogue. I wouldn't go back to 5 guys if I could only get a well done burger. And lol at people mocking free peanuts. Every time I've been in there the peanuts are getting crushed by people waiting for their food.

Had a single patty and regular fries... sometimes I'll have the double patty and a small fries, depends on my mood, but that is always enough for me. Never over $10 and change.

Charlotte. Local grocery occasion does buy one get one. It's also 2 iron from my front door so I go in when they do their second markdowns to 60% off and find some good deals. Last fall they had a sale on $20 fillets to $12. I had 5 guys today. 15 bucks for a burger, regular fries and medium drink.
I won't go back. It is not a terrible burger, but I can pay a helluva lot less to make my own and it will taste better. I am not a huge fan of fries, so that does nothing for me.
I did enjoy the root beer. Its one of my guilty pleasures.
