5 - Good posting, say something, I'm guilty of this as well

4 - He's got skinny legs, or any reference to BMI

3 - He's nothing more than a COP back, or he will never be a workhorse back - Talk about stereotyping

2 - He passes the eyeball test - I'm especially sick of this one

1 - Wow, just Wow - Those who use this should be banned for at least 30 days

I'm sure there are better ones, but it's a start.

#1  I have too often seen that the :goodposter: uses this becuae the poster says something that he AGREES with. Really? Is that why it is a good posting? Because he agrees with you? If he does NOT agree wth you does that make it a BAD posting? should be used when the poster makes a very good new point or says something that made you think about something you never considered before.

2. "This is only to motivate..." STOP already. Its not funny anymore and has run its course.

3. Honda. Way too obscure to meaning anything anymore. Too many new members that do not understand what this means.

4. :banned: Lately its been used way too often not because someone said something funny, but used to laugh AT someone. NOT NICE.

#1 :lmao:

1) People talking about watching tape or film on a player when they are talking about tivo or youtube.

2) The abuse of statistical terms, e.g. corellation, regression to the mean, causation.

How about..

My sources tell me...

My moles have informed me...

I have spies that tell me...

An inside source has said that...

1- while I get we are in the "Shark Pool," but tagging oneself or league as shark

2- Ballsy, bold, sneaky play

3- my rankings are better than your rankings

4- newer posters who want to be told which poster/staff to follow instead judging for themselves

5- finding obscure stats to justify an otherwise poor argument

Yeah, that's a good one. Lots of Shark Poolers who think they are "breaking down film".

I hate the "talent" argument. 99% of NFL players are extremely talented. It's the rare player who is heads and tails more talented than most at his position.

 because I agree with it.

[in a thread about a player] Any mention of being on someone's fantasy team.

The use of historical trends to argue against a particular player succeeding, especially trends that go back to 1960... like that only four 38 year old QBs have thrown for 25+ TDs, so Warner is going to get hurt, or something similar.

Judge every player's individual situation, it is unique.

Is this the "Official" overused phrase thread?
Naw. It is missing the key asterixs.
:lmao: I'm laughing with you
Ya I think so. If your laffing at me thats cool too.I think this thread is just a place holder until the ***official*** one takes its place. Kind of like when your starting RB is on IR.

It definitly doesen't have as much upside as an ***official*** thread would.
And if you threw out the 3 or 4 really good posts.........

#1 People with multiple aliases who bump their own posts with

#2 Opening a NFL players thread in the sharkpool only to find 30 posts on a different player.

1) You can't predict injuries.

No ####. But I can PROJECT them (just like you "project" stats for a RB), and if this MF'er missed at least 2 games every year thus far in a 7 year career, I am going to "predict" that he misses a couple and adjust my rankings accordingly.
