and we are one of the top teams that do not have Chris Johnson, Andre Johnson or Frank Gore.

We still need to find a RB2, but currently seem to have a team that could conceivably be even stronger through the bye weeks (because of our current WR depth):

QBs: Tom Brady, Mark Sanchez and Matt Leinart

RBs: Ryan Grant, Fred Jackson, Jamal Lewis, Kevin Faulk, Jerrous Norwood and Jamaal Charles

WRs: Calvin Johnson, Steve Smith (Car), Jerricho Cotchery, Hines Ward, Steve Smith (NYG), Mike Sims-Walker, Chaz Schillens

TEs: Chris Cooley, Zach Miller

PKs: John Carney

Def: Green Bay

RB's gotta be a concern right now, Jackson's gonna take a hit after this week.
I honestly think FJ will have a large enough role to be a borderline RB2 once Lynch returns.
Even if you think that, which I don't, he is going to take a hit. Personally I think he takes such a hit he's only not even going to be a RB3. Grant's TD's are making his final numbers respectable but if he's your #1 RB, which he will be after this week, I think it's a concern. His WR's are good enough he should be able to start 4 each week and only have to go with 2 RB's so it's not as dire as it appears but I think what the Bills decide to do with Fred is going to be huge for his team.

love this team. WRs and TEs are more valuable in WCOFF than many/most standard leagues, and this team is especially strong there. Brady hasn't even gotten started yet, so to be 68th with your franchise player off to a slow start has to be encouraging.

yes RB is definitely a concern. We constructed this team to be week at one RB spot so that we could be strong at WR, TE and QB. Eventually we have to find another RB to compete strongly. We are betting on history repeating and such a RB becomes available soon. Our WRs are downright sick though in a league that starts three and has a flex (so we are always starting 4).

Dodds, are you confident with Grant at RB1? I think he'll improve, but that line is not doing well.
I got him in the 4th round. I think he will exceed those expectations. Yes the OT situation looks bad, but who else is going to run it in GB? Deshawn Wynn? I think Grant will be fine.

I totally agree. I just look at that craptacular line and wonder if he can get it going like i think he could

Sooo...what exactly was the plan for RB depth? Not being a jackass, I'm just curious as you obviously planned on going light at RB#2. Take your chances on the waiver wire strategy?

 Fred Jackson has been the SOD so far
wont last
never expected it to.

Yes this was exactly the plan. As others were stockpiling RBs, our plan was to load up at WR, TE and QB. We have one deficiency. We need some RB to emerge. But as the bye weeks hit other teams, we expect to trot a solid lineup (less a weak RB2 every week). We do have Jamal Lewis, Fred Jackson, Jamaal Charles, Norwood and Faulk. In PPR those options will score some points every week until we find that RB where we spend the majority of our blind bidding dollars.

solid strategy...I like it and have considered it, but never had the balls.
