Today's email, #108, contained the following, separate, stories:
One story was:
" Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones has been the team's top receiver in camp, and it hasn't been close, as WR Golden Tate has had issues holding onto the football."
This prompted this view:
" Jones is going at least 2-3 rounds after Golden Tate in most drafts, but his red zone prowess and reports like this make that seem ill-advised."
The other story was:
"Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate has had sure hands in camp while his counterparts have had issues."
Which prompted this view:
" Tate should lead the team in receptions."
So Tate has had issues holding onto the football and Jones has been the best receiver in camp... no wait, Tate has had sure hands and the other guys have had issues!
I may be a grumpy former journalist but c'mon, who edits this stuff? At least point out the contradictions in these reports on the Lions WRs (which bizarrely came from the same beat writer), don't just faithfully feature them!
