Hey all, we'll be hosting new free content throughout the offseason this year - bookmark this page for a list of all of the new stuff, and feel free to suggest pieces you'd like to see.

Are the very very early redraft and dynasty rankings going to be free again this year? That has always been my favorite part of the site this early in the offseason.

Where do you guys rank Andre Williams and Lache Sestrunk? I think both could end up seeing a decent amount of carries.

Can Seastrunk return kicks? I a getting vibes he is a poor man's CJ Spiller. Personally, I think Seastrunk is a guy who should be used like Darren Sproles.

He runs great routes, has huge hands, has an above average vert, he's very fast, and coaches have raved about how teachable he is. He can be taught how to fight for balls better with those huge hands of his.
he runs great routes? he runs a slant, and a hitch and go, and thats about it. he's a zone beater. fighting for balls is instinctive, its a mindset, not something you learn. whats the lesson? "hey when you see the ball, jump up and catch even if theres a guy in the way?" he has build up speed, but he needs a lane for it to matter because he's not elusive or sudden. his hands are good, but he is prone to disastrous drops on high balls.

It would be great to hear the IDP guys do a pre-draft look at the incoming rookie class and give their opinion.

We'll hear plenty from them afterwards but since the draft has gotten pushed back to May it would be nice to hear from, you, the guru, dr. Jene and any expert draft afficianados who would join you as guests.

Just a thought.

They might be, but you still can't access them unless you have a subscription. :kicksrock:
use the original link
I did. But no matter what link I use to try and access the dynasty rankings I always get this message:

The page you've tried to access is for Footballguys Subscribers.

Well I'm not as good at looking at tape as some people but as soon as I read the article I looked at some tape of one game and I see him beat man coverage many times. One play was a hitch and go but I don't understand why that's a bad thing. All three defenders he beat should be playing in the NFL and one was a first round pick. He's playing against NFL caliber defenders all the time. Vandy lined him up everywhere and he showed the versatility to play well all over the field. That's going to help him get open to. I don't think I'm going to change your mind though. You just wrote an article basically saying he sucks. I enjoyed reading it but I disagree.

update on redraft rankings?
I understand with the draft, free agency, injuries, etc it is a little difficult, but you could start with no rookies and assuming all FA resign with current teams and players come back healthy and then adjust it accordingly.....would love to see some initial redraft thoughts heading into next year.....

8-131-1 in that game. He lined up in the slot, out wide, and fielded punts.

I didnt say he sucks. I said he's an NFL contributor, not a #1 receiver or a top-end #2.

Saw three plays against man there. He looked good on 1 of them. He caught the TD in his crotch... first touched the ball above his head.

update on redraft rankings?
bump for possible answer
I'm not sure why they would update redraft rankings during the offseason... so much happens between now and September that they'd be pretty much useless at this point.

i don't know.....maybe cause the last time i checked this was a fantasy football site......many other sites have them out there already for offseason discussion purposes.....and some places like the Mock Draft Forum here have drafts going on.....and it allows to see what the pros think about who moved up the rankings and down after the 2013 season.....

It seems pretty useless as values are so fluid right now. Teams will be drafting, depth charts are an unknown. Waste of time IMO. You may want to look into dynasty leagues.

I agree with this. Most redraft rankings which assume no movement and don't include rookies would look very very similar to dynasty rankings at this point anyway, so there's no reason to even waste the effort to do them.

I'm in a few redraft leagues where you can keep anywhere from 1 to maybe 3-5 players....so not full blown dynasty mostly a redraft format....we have offseason owner activity, trades, etc......I see very little harm, in a site dedicated to fantasy football, coming out with an initial framework of redraft rankings and then adjusting accordingly based on FA movement and the draft....in fact I think it would be kind of interesting to see where say Decker is assuming he stays and then where they would place him if he signs in say Carolina or something...I would think there would be some significant differences in dynasty/redraft rankings, but I guess I could be wrong....and if I am wrong, then there actually wouldn't appear to be a ton of effort needed, if only making a few tweeks to a dynasty ranking.....

imo....redraft rankings for a fantasy football website should be an ongoing, year long thing, that gets adjusted as changes (FA/draft) come up......

I'd be willing to bet if FBG put out an "early redraft ranking" article.....it would get quite a few hits, maybe more than any other article.....I bet almost everyone on here would stop in and take a peek....let alone the outside traffic it would generate for people like me who Googled "2014 fantasy football redraft rankings"....for business purposes it would seem to make sense for FBG (more traffic/more potential subscribers)....redraft rankings are the heart and soul of fantasy football....

Heath Cummings ranks Wes Welker (32 years old) but leaves Larry Fitzgerald (30 years old) out of his top 75 overall dynasty rankings?
thats a good question for heath - you can email any FBG staff at lastname at footballguys dot com

I see Rotoworld has stared posting its dynasty rankings. Might be nice if FBGs would make theirs available in the offseason to non-subscribers, like they have in years past.

Hi rude,

The Dynasty Rankings are available now to everyone. We have 3 staffers doing rankings for Dynasty now and will have more soon. http://subscribers.footballguys.com/apps/viewrankings.php?viewpos=ov&type=dynasty

We'll have redraft rankings up in the next few weeks. Thanks.

Joe,

When will the MYFBG page be associated with 2014 MFL sites instead of 2013 sites? Thanks

I'm looking for articles on applying math to fantasy leagues. How are the best mathematical strategies evolving and where are the edges? Not anecdotal stuff, but hard numbers.

Correct. That's a no go for now. Bloom will have them ready to go along with other staffers as well right after the draft and they will be free content like most of the site is up until June.

Are you signed in on the homepage? I have not paid yet and I can see the Dynasty Rankings when I sign in on the FBG Homepage

Yes -- once you get to the subscriber wall, log in using your Footballguys Insider account. As One More Rep said above, you could also sign in with your credentials at the top of any page on the main site. Once you're signed in, you'll be able to view the Dynasty Rankings -- you won't need to have a paid subscription in order to view them until much closer to the season.

If you haven't set up an Insider account yet, you can set one up for free here:
