Me too! And this is my first post. This site's the bomb.
Make that 3 of us! I couldn't resist the 18.95 price tag...A little about me: Long time lurker, first time poster. Just by reading the preseason info and keeping track of things on the forums, I rode LT, Torry Holt and Trent Green to lead my league from about Week 3 all the way to my Super Bowl where I won 112-77. (Which I also attribute to a Week 14 pick up of Onterrio Smith and my opponent *NOT* starting Brett Farve  ) Here's to FBG and another championship in 2004!

What's the difference between the two options:1. No shipping required (online download, payment for a service, etc.)2. Shipping required (book, t-shirt, etc.) Please ship to the address I've entered below. If possible, I usually download all my software but, if I get more free stuff with option 2, then I'm all for option 2. What's the difference between the 2 options? I want as much online convenience as possible so, would option 1 work best for me?
Hey UrlacherIsGod --For the subscription, go ahead and choose "No Shipping Required" -- all the subscription content will be delivered on the website, so we won't need to ship anything to you. . . Unless you happen to win one of the crisp Benjamins! And if that happens, we have your email address so we can follow up and get your mailing address.Later, when the book and CD come online, we will need your shipping address on those orders to know where to deliver the goods.

Joe B's alias?Ya need to be a little more sly Joe. Next time don't use an alias that you just created today.

No, I assure you I am no one's alias.. :brush:

Edit: In fact.. to help you believe that I am not a alias of Joe (or anyone else for that matter) let me give you a few more of my specifics:

Name: Jay Miller

Age: 17, just graduated 2 weeks ago actually :foos:

Location: I live just north of Greensboro, North Carolina

And further proof is my website which you may visit here. Which has a few pictures of me and my friends enjoying our favorite hobby. (Traveling to amusement parks if you haven't guessed :P ) The Spring and Summer is all about the coasters, but in fall and winter it's all about the football! :football:

I was just kidding. Enjoy the site. You gave way too much info considering all the Stalkers here. Don't be shocked if you start noticing some weirdos following you around in the very near future.

When I click "Click Here to Pay by Credit Card or Pay Pal" I get directed to a PayPal payment page.Where is the page to pay by credit card?
Good question. You're on the right page. On the right-hand side of the PayPal page, there is a button that says something like "Click Here to Pay by Credit Card". If you click that button, you get a standard-looking credit card entry screen. You don't have to create a PayPal account to pay via credit card.

Any word on the Footballguy thong for men? :JoeT:
Hi CN,Sorry. I guess they'll have to call me a sexist as we only go for thongs on beautiful women. ;)J
The female sizes will fit men too. Uhhhhh I mean they should, theoretically, of course. Not that I've tried. That's just crazy talk. Okay, I've gotta go now, bye. :JoeT: :D

The paypal site is temporarily unavailable until 3AM due to routine maintainence. :cX: I better be in the mix for the drawing when I sign up tomorrow morning. If I win, Im having a kegger, and youre all invited.Someone better bring some chicken wings. Or chicken wing pizza.

Yes, I eventually found that it worked that way. However, as I DO have a PayPal account, but I DID NOT want to use my PayPal balance to pay for this, it was problematic for me. PayPal detects that the e-mail and CC number correspond to an existing account, blocking the payment via CC and forcing the user to go back and enter the PayPal account information. As I do business on PayPal, and the funds in that account are completely not related to (and should never comingle with) my fantasy football hobby, I didn't want to do this.Eventualy, by doing some readin' -- I figured out a kind of sort of solution. I e-mailed my entire PayPal balance to a non-existent e-mail address, then paid for FBG via my PayPal account (from my credit card, not from my bank account), and then canceled the transfer of my balance, thus restoring it to my PayPal account. For people with other aversions to PayPal, however, this may not be an effective solution. It worked for me.

Just paid! Was very shocked when I learned it was cheaper this year! :D Never had a problem coughing up that $20 for this site. It is beyond worthy. Now I just have to get my hands on the black book! This year has already started with a bang! Are there any new shirt or hat designs? Might have to get another blackeyeded joe shirt! It was a howl last draft when all my league mates were asking about the site and the kicker was when 75% of them called me within days after going to that site :D Thanks again guys this site has been a blessing to my fanasty football being! What woul I have done all these years without you? Probably just buying all those bathroom reading materials like the un-informed!

Been using VBD since Joe first posted it on RSFF (has this site really been here since 96?).I was actually kind of pissed when the 1st VBD app came out. I had spent MONTHS making a Rube Goldberg Excell sheet that did something similar, and years tweaking it.I give up, you win. Nothing I do will ever approach the Dominator and I simply can't keep up with the Blogger (though you could organize it better). The Forums alone are worth the price (but please keep them free).Crap, I just read that Clayton is your GM! Have you not noticed his incredible record of bad predictions? I've been ribbing him for 10 years. Oh well, Drinen more than makes up for it. If you could just go dig up Skip Hicks, formerly of About.com, you'd be perfect. You're welcome to my money, and thanks for the many years I didn't subscribe.p.s. Central freakin' Arkansas? At least my school had Culpepper.

In again. Just wanted to see if my member # changes.Edit to say...... It didn't.

Good deal, Topes. If anyone else runs into this problem, another thing you can do is when you get to the credit card entry screen, you can enter a different email address and credit card number -- ones not already associated with your PayPal account. That way you will receive the confirm email at that address and the payment will sail on through.

Hey Duke -- try it like this and see if it works for you:

Once you reach the PayPal Site, you should see this screen:

PayPal Screen #1

If you click on the "Click Here" button (outlined in red in the screenshot), you should see this screen:

PayPal Screen #2

If you click on the "No Shipping Required" radio button (outlined in red in the screenshot), you can skip that whole section about entering your name and shipping address, and just click the "Continue Checkout" button (outlined in red in the screenshot) at the bottom of the screen to continue. Next, you should get the credit card entry screen:

PayPal Screen #3

Here's where you can type in your credit card info. After you fill out this screen, click the "Continue Checkout" button (outlined in red in the screenshot) at the bottom of the screen to continue. At that point you should get a confirmation screen, and if you tell it "OK" they payment will be processed and you will receive an email confirmation of the payment.

If that doesn't work for you, please let me know and I will investigate further.

this is a wonderful product and eliminates the need to look at 10+ websites each and every week during the season and during the offseason. and please remember, it's footballguys.com's job to give us info and opinions, it's our job to take it all in and make our own choices in trades and lineups.

Wow, I think it's great you guys are offering a discounted price for early signup, but don't you think it's a little late to offer early bird savings for signing up before 2003?Maybe you can hire me to be your fact checker...I'm really rententive that way.In all seriousness, you may want to change your signup page to read 2004 as the deadlines to signup for special prices. But I'm signing up too, regardless. Wouldn't miss another season with you guys for the world. Keep up the good work.

I think I'll subscribe this year..I've been hanging around for a year or two now, and last year I won my league(youngest ever :D ) mostly due to the high quality of these boards...So, if for nothing else it would be a nice donation to keep these boards up and running...Just need to steal my dad's credit card now... :P

A question, and I'm not sure where to ask so I'll do it here and hope a VIP sees it.I won the Shark Pool Survivor contest last year, and at the time I'm pretty sure I was told by either Jose Cuervo or one of the staff that I'd won a 2004 membership. Can someone contact me about that before the deadline in case that's not accurate so I can subscribe, and if it is accurate as I remember it, tell me what I need to do to get the freebie set up?Thanks.

That was me ! ...What happened to your nick ?I just started arranging your free prize and send them an email... I don't see why they wouldn't do it this year after you beating 759 other participants... last year they awarded a free subscription for " TommyGunZ " the first champion we had.Don't pay for your subscription just yet...

In for the second year in a row.Paid for a Sub to The Huddle the year prior. :JoeT: This site is much better and well worth $20 !Great Job !:stoney:

Been here for over a year, thought I would sign up this year.I heard the info is amazing, also, my way of supporting the site  Keep up the good work FBG'sAny word on the Footballguy thong for men? :JoeT:
I would have gladly paid for your membership if you had not put that visual in my head....*muttering and rocking like Rainman in the corner*
Does this mean the speedo idea was dropped? It might sell better than you think :MrsBSR:

I'm in! Paid yesterday.

Now...Do me a favor?

Take your strength of schedule and list it (Individually by QB, RB and WR) in order? 1-32?? Easiest to hardest. That way a person can list the number by the player's names and on draft-day, it's a very easy to access tie breaker.

I used to get it in this format before the internet...From All Pro Publishing.

After lurking on free sites for the past two years, I decided to join. I am especially devoted to winning my football league this year. I play with the same group of people and have won our basketball and baseball fantasy leagues, but so far the football title has eluded me. This is my year, baby!

Hi Indy,Jack Pullman from All Pro is a really nice guy. He spent a few minutes with me in Vegas many years ago and shared some of his thoughts. He and guys like John Laub really did get this thing started.

I can remember being a subscriber to Laub's updates many years ago that were sent each week by fax.

Man, this business has come a long ways.

Big time changes in FF. I remember when Cliff Carpenter's (sp?) big gold book was the FF Bible and I even splurged on the weekly updates (via snail mail) with training camp news.

We'll take all the people who sign up in time for the early bird discount and randomly draw five names to send $100 to. Our way of saying thanks for the support.
Who won the drawing?
