For anyone who is a food-warrior or is married to one (1 Viewer)

What is a "food warrior"?

Please tell me that eating selectively isn't being compared to the horrors of warfare.

I am John Battandieri! And I see a whole army of my Whole Foods Shoppers, here in defiance of Monsanto. You've come to fight as free vegans... and free vegans you are. What will you do with that organic produce? Will you fight? Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR BROCCOLI!!!

This article basically nails the predicament of the person truly trying to eat healthyhttp://www.blogher.com/terrible-tragedy-healthy-eater?page=0,1
What is the predicament?
They are bombarded with messages that their relatively healthy diet doesn't fit the definition because of some silly reason like genetic modification. So they are left chasing some nonexistent, black and white, objectively "healthy" diet.
So, the crazy person is crazy?

It's a Terrible Tragedy, isn't it?

Can't even get through the first paragraph. My facebook feed is full of these. I decided to have a loose policy on who to accept as "friends" from high school, and I am constantly reminded about veganism, sustainability, and organic foods, not to mention labeling of GMOs.

I'm sure the article was very well-intentioned.
