As an Eagles fan, I'm terribly conflicted. They're a terribly flawed team on run defense. Garcia has managed the games well but he still can't throw the deep ball. The G-men are deservedly favored this week. Even if the Eagles were to back into the playoffs somehow, they're not going to do much. A win this week would just get my hopes up for a potential shellacking in a primetime Christmas game in God's Spittoon.

But just like Charlie Brown, I see Lucy holding the ball and line up for the kick...

Anyway, your thoughts?

Giants can do damage if they figure out their locker room. oh, and if Eli gets dosed with Xanax. i think they'll make the playoffs, and i think they'll make some noise when they get there. i'd love to see them in it.

I'm also an Eagles fan and don't know what I want for the outcome of the season. If they can somehow win the division I would be all for the playoffs. And if somehow not sure if it's even possible if somehow the Cowboys could get knocked out of the playoffs that would be enough for me to consider it a great season.

I'm so disgusted with the Lions and their picks I don't even know where to start because it's so overwhelming.

Besides all the crappy picks with the WR's, we all know that......the Lions should have picked Matt Lienart last year, knowing they weren't signing Joey.

I was coaching at a tennis tournament the day of last year's draft and I can remember half the guys on the team, on their cell phones with people watching the draft when it was the Lions turn to pick. Leinert and Cutler were both on the board and they were like, "Coach, who are they going to take?"

I said probably neither of those two, because Millen's tired of being burned by picking offensive talent. He obviously has no feel for it and doens't have anyone helping him that does so they're going to pass on both QB's, one if not both will be a good NFL pro and take someone else.

Sure enough, he passes and they're both gobbled up.

I don't like Brady Quinn nearly as much as I liked Leinart.

I would not take Brady Quinn with the NO. 1 pick. Taking Joe Thomas isn't sexy but the Lions have a horrible, just a horrible offensive line and they need to rebuild it. I'd draft Thomas and start my rebuilding process around him and then look for some linebackers.
