Only one sub per person, and you have to purchase it in the store.

  • The sandwiches included in the deal are #1-#6, BLT, and Slims.
  • All of the sandwiches come on Jimmy John’s French bread, but JJ Unwich® lettuce wraps will also be available. There may be an additional fee for JJ’s 9-grain wheat bread depending on the location.
This is a national event, but Jimmy John's recommends you call your local location to verify they're participating. You can also find a complete list of participating locations on the Jimmy John's website.

Every time any national chain has a giveaway or a low price like this, the lines to the place are out the door.   Stand in line an hours to save $5?  No thank you.

At $1 it's still overpriced.

(Not a snob, just the one time I went there the sandwiches sucked so I've never been back)

Stopped by one today and waited in line for about 5 minutes, there were only two people ahead of me. I didn't even know about the deal until I passed by the front door on the way to a client site.

I never tried them before, but it was just ok. Probably won't go back, but it was definitely worth a buck.

Would you wait 40 minutes in the rain to save 5 bucks at Jimmy Johns?

I just went to the bank and next door there is a Jimmy Johns.  Inside was packed and there were well over 60 people outside in the pouring rain..women with little kids..people standing there with umbrellas.  One guy had a fold up chair like he was waiting for concert tickets.

I could see if you could get 5-10 and feed the whole family..but with a one sub limit is it really worth it?  Some cheap SOBs out there.

The line was a block+ here. Even if I thought JJ was the greatest ever, my time is worth way more then that.

I went there at 11:20 and waited in line 20 minutes.  I just messed around on my phone while in line so it wasn't that bad.  If someone had told me the line was going to be 20 minutes I would not have gone, but I was already there.  Could have been worse I guess...at least no one was camping out in advance of the promotion like the Black Friday crowd.

Did you go to the one on Wake Forest Rd?

just walked by the one downtown. at least 30 people outside.  Line definitely not moving freaky fast.  Guys in suits waiting.  pathetic.

Went to Jersey Mike's and paid full price instead.

It's the best fast sub on the planet and JJ's is pretty much the worst (in my humble opinion).

No rain here but probably 50 people in line outside so I just kept driving by.  Not worth it to save $5.

I tried this once, it was the most bland and uninspired sandwich I've ever had in my life. It wasn't bad, just totally boring as if it were made by robots... for robots.
