For those that saw the Pats/Raiders game: did Morris & Jordon (1 Viewer)

The Pats mostly alternated series with these two.

Carries by quarter:

Morris: 6,1,5,2

Jordan 2,6,1,3

Based on # of snaps:

RB Kevin Faulk -- 35 of 71

RB Sammy Morris -- 21 of 71

RB LaMont Jordan -- 16 of 71

Well hell.......that doesn't help my situation at all. Joran getting early carries and Faulk getting the most snaps certainly limits the value of Morris. Thanks for the numbers/stats! :goodposting:

Jordan has been very frustrating to me over the years. When healthy and seeing the field, he does well.

But that's a pretty big "when healthy" caveat.

I think he could be the all around back the Pats could make use of if he could stay healthy. At this point in his career, I'm just convinced he doesn't have the injury resistance/recuperative genes necessary to avoid missing time due to injury. They guy has been in the injury report the whole season.

Those looking for a primary guy in NE this year have been very disappointed. The only way one guy has toted the ball a lot has been due to injuries of the other RBs. I doubt they will go with one guy over the next couple weeks, but Morris is probably a decent RB2 option.

My opponent just switched to Morris because Boldin is out. Hope Jordan and Faulk get most of the carries.

Hi David,I think that stat is misleading...I'm not saying that you are misleading, but that game got out of hand pretty early. jordan has only been used in garbage time or meaningless games mostly...I remember in preseason they played him mostly in garbage time. Jordan is a body to the Pats and not much more, but I think Morris will go out and do very well against the Cards...80/TD seems very likely and Sammy has been on a roll as of late. I think he is a perfect RB2 this weekend.

No the Pats definitely view Jordan as more than just a "body" and when hes been healthy, albeit thats a rarity, he has looked like their best all around back. Week 2 vs. the Jets he had 11 carries for 62 yards in a close divisional game. I don't think we will see as much this week as last week of Morris or Jordan. As long as the weather isn't to brutal(ice storm in forecast for Sunday) the Pats will probably run the spread O for a large portion of the game and that means Faulk will get the majority of the snaps. However if passing conditions are awful expect Morris and Jordan to split time in the backfield with the more effective runner getting the lions share of the carries. Morris is probably the better play of the 2 as he is the 1 most likely to get the goal line carries.
